MCU X-Men

My only problem with that is there's some nasty Mutants out there. And they'd probably be causing some trouble and wouldn't be unnoticed. Idk

Maybe Shield helped keep that stuff contained in the past? Maybe Xavier has been working to keep the existence of mutants a secret? Maybe the "mutant problem" hasn't exploded to the point where its on the news every night yet.

The key is having mutants appear in the MCU organically, like its a natural expansion of the universe. Have it be a new thing that we are just now discovering.

I just think the cross over would feel more special and unique with two universes colliding together. I just haven't seen that in a superhero film.

Acting like mutants suddenly became a thing in phase four just feels forced to me. Especially with a the destruction that has been happening in the movies. At least with a separate universe, it would make more sense why they were nowhere to be seen for the first twenty films.

Why does every aspect of the Marvel universe have to appear at once? Why can't it grow and expand in an organic and natural way and introduce new elements that we haven't seen yet?

Bob Iger said that Avatar / Deadpool / X-Men / Fantastic Four / Planet of the Apes will not be branded differently and stay under the Fox banner, with the supervision of Disney. That actually decreases the chance of an MCU reboot in its entirety, even if he did say that it would, of course, open opportunities for cross-pollination. Starting to make sense that Fox is going to just shoot Gambit anyway with that information in mind.

Other than some Character deaths there's nothing about MCU I dislike. I know they'll handle the "Mutant Problem" respectfully.

@Andrew Gil. Huh what are you talking about?/setting them up in a different universe is actually the more ambitious, more creative and fresh and less lazy IMO, and instead of pretending like they were in the same universe all this time.

It'd be a shame if Iceman took first gay character away from Northstar. He's the first gay marvel superhero. I always wanted him to get recognized first. And with lost of Quicksilver he could be the new speedster of MCU.
Why can't we have both?

But tbh I dislike Northstar and would rather see Iceman, Rictor, Shatterstar, Anole, Karma, and Bling (not that my opinion really matters).

Huh, show me the actual quote. Bob jger has already said that they plan to integrate X-Men, Deadpool and Ff in the MCu.

And sure another Ff film with the Fox logo? Sure.

Hey I have already given up hope that everything won't just be rebooted. But it is the CEO of Disney quoted below.

Here you go:
Obviously, Marvel will move under, from a supervisory perspective." Iger explained. "[There are] some cross-pollination opportunities there.

“We’ve obviously done extremely well with the less is more strategy, and making just tentpole films. Not all of them are franchises." Iger added. "Fox has some interesting tentpole opportunities, and we’re going to continue to support that. What they did with Avatar and with Deadpool, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Planet of the Apes, we’ll stay in that business. None of it will really be branded differently than how it’s branded today. How much we will create from that banner is still uncertain."

Now, of course, that doesn't rule out future changes, but he does include both Deadpool, X-Men and even Fantastic Four specifically among movies that will still be branded as Fox movies.

It was just a big deal about Northstar being #1 it'd just be nice if he got to be first is all. I remember Alpha Flight #106 sold close to 200k copies when he officially came out. Plus his Wedding in X-MEN in 2012.

But why do you dislike Northstar? I feel he's really cool Character. In my top #25 X-MEN

How exactly is keeping X-Men in its own self-contained bubble "fresh and interesting" when FOX has been doing that for 18 years?

I think introducing mutants into the MCU would freshen up the MCU though. I think there are cool storytelling possibilities with that (and it makes crossovers easier and less convoluted).

I don't like him because I don't like his arrogant personality, I think his move-set is generic, his history with the FLQ is weird, and I don't think anything memorable or substantial has been done with him other than big gay events like coming out and getting married. Why do you like him?

My casting for the twins Northstar and Aurora are Joe Jonas and Camilla Belle

I actually like his power set super speed and flight is cool Imo and kinda unique among X-MEN. And I also like mutant siblings always been a sucker for them and I preferred the Beaubier's over Maximoffs because they were more closely tied to X-MEN imo. Also I'm a huge Alpha Flight fan so the vol 1 run I still read regularly on my tablet. But I actually liked him as a member of X-MEN but that cover from X-MEN: The End has always stuck with me (I like Greg land I know others don't)

He just looks so bad ass

I like Ben Whishaw from James Bond as Jean-Paul

But then you have to find someone who looks like his twin or at least like his sister.

Camilla Belle looked uncannily like Joe Jonas, which was all the more weird when they were dating. They both also look very much like the Alpha Flight twins.

I think in retrospect it was a mistake, although an understandable one, of the Fox series to not make the first film an origin/team-assembling film. Actually making the film about meetings and then a first adventure would probably allow for more of the characters to be more popular.

Rogue and especially Gambit's popularity may have declined but they do have potential from being not used much in the past films. Purists would say Rogue should start with the Brotherhood but I think few will be disappointed if she doesn't.

It's hard to think of a good first story aside from the Brotherhood or Sentinels.

Idk if Joe Jonas is caliber of actor for MCU X-MEN but maybe I'm wrong

I don't want him in X-Men though. I want him in Alpha Flight. And those two really don't need to be main characters. It's more about Guardian, Vindicator, Shaman, Snowbird and Puck, with the twins in tow.

I can't imagine Northstar or Aurora really being a main character ever, so Joe Jonas and Camilla Belle would work fine for supporting parts.

And how exactly pretending that Charles Xavier and the other famous X-Men characters were all alive and breathing within those 20 movies, fresh and interesting? Its basically just like how Carol danvers, Hank Pym, Tchalla only mattered to themcu until the execs decided to use them.

And I already suggested universe hopping, secret wars - that's the mutants way of entering the lives of the established MCU people.

Not sure why it would be a shame?

I hope Cyclops gets a skullcap cowl this time round. I don't want him having his hair showing like the 90s version. We've already had that in the Singer films. Give us the classic mask.

It's just Northstar is Marvel's First Gay Superhero. And Iceman is a character alot still to this day disagree with being Gay. So to make Iceman gay on screen when you got this perfectly great Character ready and waiting to go would be disappointing to me. It's jmo

Its called universe building. You build it by adding new concepts and characters into it as time goes on.

It also keeps that universe fresh. If the MCU has nothing but the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy in it then the MCU will die of stagnation sooner or later. But seeing how the MCU deals with mutants would be fresh and new. Because the X-Men would no longer exist in their own vacuum. They would have to deal with the rest of the Marvel universe.

What is the point of keeping the X-Men in their own self-contained bubble? Because you can't wrap your mind around just introducing mutants into the MCU? If Stan Lee was able to introduce mutants into the Marvel comic universe why can't the MCU do the same?

@DarkRaven, I want them to show his short clean cut hair!

Showing a different reality or Alternate reality hopping isn't building a universe or expanding it? Nope. Its not just the traditional MCU way of expanding its universe.

Again read the post, I didn't suggest that the X-Men won't cross over. Geez. They would crossover from another reality which would explain why they were nowhere to be seen in the first twenty films its not that confusing. The crossover wont just happen in an instant as they should develop the X-Men first for a couple of films before the cross over and reintroduce their world to the viewers.

Yeah before Guardians of the Galaxy (modern team) and the other characters like Black Widow, Black Panther began to show up. Apples and oranges.

The X-Men weren't introduced so late in the comics.

No. You just suggested that they cross over in the most dumb, convoluted, over complicated, and most unnecessary way (universe hopping).

Why do that when you can just put them into the MCU? It freshens up the X-Men because they are now doing their thing in an established superhero universe instead of their own self-contained bubble. It freshens up the MCU because now they have mutants to deal with. Its the best of both worlds.

Any complications in having them in the same universe (OMG WHERE HAVE THEY BEEN ALL THIS TIME!?!!) are far easier to deal with than figuring out how to make DC comics style universe hopping not laughable in order to have a simple crossover.
