Disney World, Disney/MGM, Epcot and Animal Kingdom are all Disney theme parks, but they are separate from each other and you have to buy individual tickets for each one (unless you shell out the big bucks for a park-hopper pass).

So again, I say - Animal Kingdom is better than Disney World.

What you are calling Disney World is actually Magic Kingdom.
Disney World is made up of Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios, Epcot and Animal Kingdom.

I've heard that New Year's Eve at DW is amazing. I don't know if I'd have that good of a time b/c I like to get ******ed drunk on NYE and you can't do that surrounded by strangers watching fireworks. Also, Goofy creeps me out so I'm not risking passing out next to him

Well essentially they do fireworks at every park, every night. And I was at Disney between Christmas and New Years and it was packed. I felt like cattle going from ride to ride.
