Yeah, I don't think Fox will suddenly transforms (pun intended) herself into Merly Steep given the right role. From what I've seen of Fox, she's pretty and sexy, but her acting skill doesn't have that much depth. And really talented actors do make use of their first impressions, such as Ed Norton in the movie Primal Fear.
true.

plus MF wants to be a movie star. she wants fame and glamour. you can see it when she walks and when she talks. nothing wrong with that. she is in the right place. its called hollywood. girls do a horror movie when they start. you dont go after 2 big blockbusters in a small horror movie.

but she can do a 180 and do a really serious movie and suprise us all. everything can happen. but right now..........she wants to be famous.

It was ok I suppose, I thought it'd be worse, but it still left me waiting for a really good movie about a succubus, which this wasn't.

Fox was decent, I just found most of Diablo Cody's writing rather annoying. She has that "every character needs to be a ditzy airhead" style of writing that made me hate alot of Buffy episodes.

Definitely much closer to stuff like Halloween 2 and Unborn for the weakest horror entries of the year than Last House on the Left or Drag Me to Hell for the best.

The kiss lived up but the writing wasn't as good as I was hoping. It was trying too hard to be catchy like every review seems to point out. I was still entertained.

I felt the script was all over the shop. At times it wanted to Scream, then Mean Girls, Tales from the Crypt etc. It should have picked a tone or direction and stuck with it. For example, I actually felt the whole Rock Band thing could have been it's own seperate twisted horror flick along the lines of Dusk till Dawn or Planet Terror . I thought Megan Fox made a good villian , but the stand out has to be Amanda Seyfield. I felt she carried the film in many ways .

I heard it was a comedy mostly .

I don't understand Megan Fox being compared to Brad Pitt , the guy can act .

I love Pitt man, other then Will Smith. Pitt was great in movies like Se7en, Benjamin Button, ect.

Yah Pitt was good in those roles. Another one I really like was Twelve Monkeys.

Is it just me or did anyone get mixed signals from this movie? On one hand it seemed like an obvious jab on superficial teenage girls. On the other it seemed like Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried's characters are repressed lesbians. It's as if on the surface there's one story and under it another.

I wouldn't say that Jennifer is a repressed lesbian, but there are definite hints that Needy is. Early on there's a scene where they hold hands, which appears completely non-sexual and platonic to Jennifer, but and inspires a look on Seyfried's face that betrays a deeper romantic attachment to her friend. The actual kiss scene, I think is more Jennifer, whose demon schtick is her ability to seduce her potential prey, feeding Needy's desire to make her vulnerable and confused.

I think it was definitely going more for comedy than horror, and the only thing I found really funny was the teacher.

It definitely doesn't come close to that wonderful horror/humor balance that Drag Me To Hell achieved so well.

Yup. Seyfried is awesome. Terry78 will be proud.

Spooky thing is , I actually have a gig tomorrow night. I'm not gonna be channeling any demons but I guess it's too much to hope Meg Fox and Amanda Seyfried to show up.Lol. But yeah, I thought she was really good.

I seen this today. It's more really a dark comedy, then horror. But I'm not mad about that cause I knew of that.

Just some of the dialogue in this movie was ugh. I can just hear people using certain sayings from this movie. If you seen it, you know what I mean.

Plus I kinda hate it when the end of the movie is basically the start and work their way back. and then the end picks up where the beginning , which is the end ended.

The only male actor whom I've ever compared MF to was Channing Tatum.

I may go see it, is it horror comedy like Gremlins with little gore or like Evil Dead 2 with lots of gore?

i have a feeling people watched the trailer and they made in their heads a 100% different movie. why? i dont know.

he he i guess some people expected to be scared he he ?

of course. I guess i was right, reading all the reviews, the movie is pretty much " meh ", this movie is only good for dvd

The movie tanked worse than I thought was capable, according to the early numbers.

http://www.deadline.com/hollywood/

These numbers usually aren't off by much so call it a bust as it's going under 10 mil for the weekend.

So last weekend's numbers for that other horror movie "were" a bad omen.

So much for Fox being a box office draw.
Horror comedies hardly ever do big numbers at the boxoffice. Ofcourse I wasn't expecting big numbers, I was expecting something like 12 to 15mil. Atleast 10mil. The movie had a s**tload of advertizing from the studio and Megan Fox, so these numbers are not even remotely okay.

It should hit 6 to 8mil over the weekend. And judging by that cinema score it's going to have terrible legs.

Why pay 6 to 10 dollars for a ticket when you can just look at pics of her on the internet or in a 3 to 4 dollar mag?
