I actually wondered were his mace was in the movie, wish it would have made an appearance.

I thought it was destroyed in the first film . Wasn't that the arm he was missing when the US Army dumped his remains into The Laurentian Abyss ?

He transformed his arm into that claw which had a cannon and a huge blade. So i think he was OK. But i loved the mace... I dont know which one to pick! By the way, that huge claw hand is obviously a nod to G1 if you ask me...

Anyway, i wouldnt like him to have a sword too. Blackout uses the helicopter blades as a weapon, Megatron has the mace and the claw and in the game Starscream had two extendable blades like Wolverine's and I think Bee had an axe... I am not so sure about Bee though...

Variety is nice...

By the way, I liked the 1° movie design better. It was more menacing, imposing and badass.

ROTF redesign of Megs is a vast improvement over the first movie . Also it looks closer to G1 Megatron .

I think that ROTF Megs was more imposing for some weird reason, even though he had a gimp left arm and huge feet. His first design was more balanced. The good thing about the ROTF one though is that they made the parts on him bigger. Notice his torso, shoulders and thighs. He has pads now, and not little pieces of garbage.

I like the new Megs design more than the first, and hope that he continues to evolve his design in the third movie, and yes, he was more menacing in ROTF, mainly due to his tweaked voice and more dialogue. Oddly enough, the more imposing Megatron design appears to have a penis in those two comparison pics.

Actually, I think you are totally correct, wouldnt have minded seeing it again though. Thought the claw/gun thing made up for it I suppose.

Agreed, his design in ROTF was so much closer to G! and just 'fit' with Megatron more. He looked like he could deal out a lot more damage in ROTF than he did in TF1.

I agree. Megatron in the first film was amazing. But when he was rebuilt in the second film, his new look looked much, much better.

^Agreed guys, it was much more G1 also, and the tank mode seemed to let him deal out more damage. He was tearing the battlefield apart at some points in the final batttle.

I am so glad that Megatron didn't transform into that tiny gun in the films like he did in the G1 animated series. I prefer the movie Megatron da best cause he's more menacing and badass. Scary.

I think G1 Megatron is the only one that had a truly useless Transformation, because someone had to be around to use him. And why the heck transform into a tiny gun anyway when you've got a huge cannon on your arm? At least as Galvatron he Transformed into a big cannon. Which is still strange when he can just as well use the cannon in his robot mode.

Megatron's design in ROTF was a huge improvement over his TF1 design, he just seemed more Megatron this time, and Huge Weaving did another awesome job as the voice:

"Well you have something on your mind, something I need....."

He got some awesome lines once again also, it was a bit weird seeing him answer to someone else, but I quickly got over it and overall was very happy with Megatron's showing in this movie.

I agree with the decision to redesign him. He is much more intimidating now and the larger pieces of metal on him are a lot better. He doesnt look so much like a junkyard now. And the claw is amazing!

Btw, do we have the second pic of Megatron (ROTF version) in high resolution?

Maybe there should have been a fight betweeen Optimus Prime and Megatron, but the rules are no one can help eitehr side and they must fight in their alt modes. Hmmm, tractor-trailer vs. pistol with no one to fire it. Who wins here?

I think it made sense with Galvatron as when he transformed into the cannon, he could put his full weight/strength behind it. But yeah, with Megatron, it never made sense him changing into a gun and I prefer it in the comics when he has been a tank, same with ROTF.

I would actually prefer a high res pic of the claw Megatron design which is the better of the 2 IMO.

Btw, where does Meg find all the mass to form the claw? That thing is huge and i cant see where all this mass goes when he is not using it. They are supposed to keep the mass intact despite the transformations right? Not that i care too much in this case, just saying...

It was lame, most of the time Starscream used to fire him, and in the comics humans have used him as well.

Well, when he doesnt have the claw and just has the two skinny arms, he also has Jetpacks on his back, in his tank mode he doesnt, so IMO, its the jet-packs were he gets the extra mass from.
