Revenge of the Fallen Megatron's Earth Form

So, Megatron crash landed on Earth and was frozen, so he never had the chance to pick an Earth Form to disguise himself among the Earth world.

The form I would have picked for him would have been the SR-71 Blackbird, but that has been "leaked" to go to Jetfire (if the info leaked is correct). So idk what Earth form Megatron would pick. it would obviously be a Military aircraft of some sort, since his Cybertronian form is an "alien jet".

Idk if he would even pick an Earth form at all, since he sees humans and their technology as useless. But I would like to hear what all u guys think.

I'd prefer for him not to have an Earth form. I prefer how he is right now. Would be cool if he is in a major weakened state, and he allows himself to be used as a weapon/arm cannon, ala Starscream using him as a weapon.

I agree cosmic, it would be fine for him to stay an "alien jet", but it would be a great nod to the original toy and cartoon, if he became a cannon of some sort that the other Decepticons use, but I don't think Bay would go that road. I was thinking maybe he would need an Earth form in order to heal up after the first movie. Or a surprise twist in the movie is that he is a sort of Earth jet the whole movie and we don't know it til maybe halfway through the movie, but idk.

If he did turn into a cannon of some sort, wouldn't that make him Galvatron? Although in newer transformers comics Megs is a tank.

The way he formed the cannon he used on Optimus in the first movie, I kinda figure they will continue that route. I can't think of a way to do it without it looking odd. Would the other bot stick his hand up Megs wazoo, and let him wrap around his arm like a glove?

I don't think we will ever see him as a weapon, unless maybe Devastator uses him as a cannon.

Yeh thats true on both accounts, i meant to say like a gun/ blaster of some sort but we all know it probably won't happen.

Yeh he is a tank in the newer but I believe IF he were to get an Earth form it would be a jest since his Cybertronian form was an alien jet he would probably take the form of a human jet, u know what i mean?

Where he believes in the superiority of the technological over the biological. And therefore his own grand superiority over all things leading into the "necessary" eradication of all else.

I want him to have stay as the cybertron jet. I always felt Megatron in the movie should feel he is too good for an earth mode.

If he was to pick an Earth mode, it would have to be something completely new...like perhaps the protoype of a vehicle/weapon that the goverment creates to defend itself from possible Cybertronian attacks....since the goverment had access to Megs for so long and then having faced the Cybertronian race as enemies as well as allies in the first film, it would seem likely that they would have at least thought of creating an "ultimate weapon(s)" of sorts to battle them. It didn't take them long in the first film to figure out which rounds were most efficient in damaging a Transformer in a short amount of time...I'm sure they could come up with something pretty deadly given time to analyze all the data they have on them.


I feel they will keep him the way he is though.

Bah! Hiding on Earth is of no concern to the mighty Megatron. Humans are insignificant insects. Taking a form of one of their machines is an insult to Lord Megatron.

On the contrary, i think having been beaten the first time around, i think he needs to have a cover this time, so he can have the time to regroup with the Decepticons, rebuild his team and maybe a lair and then strike back with force. In order to be able to do that he needs to keep hidden from the Autobots and the army for now until his plan is ready to be set in motion.

A decepticon who is very loyal to Megatron will search for his body and take him to Unicron giving his own life to resurrect Megatron, and this will be perfect to be through the movie and at the end you see this Decepticon in front of Unicron with Megatron's body

Bay has already said there wont be a cliffhanger as he want's these movies to be stand alones that are related. I think this is also the reason why the "2" was taken out of the title. Hunter Rider made a point to me about Indiana Jones where they have individual names with no numbers. Personally I think it's a great idea having 3 stand alone films rather 3 that make up one big story.

I think Megatron should evolve in the sequel, and become even more powerful for the Autobots to take him on. I think he should be like the Megs in the Cybertron TF line, a triple changer. He can keep his jet form, but added a vehicle form as well to make him more versatile. Or he can become Galvatron. Either way, I don't think he should remain static.

If Megs had to take an Earth form, I think they should take a page from Animated and he turn into an Osprey.

Cybertron jet works fine. Maybe they'll enhance his form in some way in this film.

I'm leaning towards him keeping the alien jet alt. mode. I think the A-10 could work, with the biggest downside being that it is less advanced than Starscream's F-22 form. Which may not be the best approach.
