Transformers Megatron's head undergoing a redesign?

Someome over at the Don Murphy message boards, a poster who appears to have sources within the production, made the claim that Don Murphy was successful in getting a new head design for Megatron. Later on in the thread, Murphy pretty much confirmed it himself.

Good news. But it's more than just Meg's head that needs re-designing.

Well if its getting a redesign then it can only be for the better. The only reason I can think of why they are doing it is because of the public response to the first design we saw. Which means it will be closer to the original G1 Megs

Well look at Primes head, thats G1 in look. There is no reason why Megs head cant be similar as well.

Looks like a bunch of tool boxes over on that board. A redesigned head means nothing untill we're able to see it and verify that its better than the original.

well since DM is the one on the production team that is trying to get G1 into this movie I guess that is a sign of a good thing...though I do agree that no one should be cheering just yet until we see it

That - and I have doubts that Don Murphy has any significant influence when it comes to redesigning aspects of the 'bots. The most straight forward explanation is that alterations ot Megatron are due to the fan backlash over the design [note: these are the very same people that Don Murphy took pains to track down a few and personally insult].

And any change made to Megatron is good in my eyes. It's not like they're going to change him due to feedback but make him worse.
