Transformers Megatron's head undergoing a redesign?

Agreed. I think what I liked about BB over the '89s Batman is that when Batman attacked in BB it was filmed from the point of view of the bad guys. This explains why you can't follow his fighting style because the bad guys couldn't either. It looked as if Batman could fly although we all know better. In doing so it made him out to be "more than just a man".

In the '89 version, Batman was almost an unstoppable tank kicking and punching everthing that came at him all while pretty much standing straight up and down. I wasn't a big fan of that.

And talk about a popcorn movie, that was the '89 version compared to the BB version. BB had a great story delving into Bruce Waynes psyche. You actually cared for the characters in that movie. When his parents died and young Bruce hugs Alfred telling him that he misses his parents, I had a lump in my throat. That's something the 89 version did not deliver.

My fear is that TR won't be as good as EITHER of those movies. But, will be "X3 good" instead... if not worse.

If this movie is X3 good, then that is good enough for me. I just don't want it to be CINO or GINO bad.

Also, Nolan and co. wanted Batman to seem animalistic, that fighting style adds to that idea though I don't completely agree with it.

Oh, to get back on topic here, I'm thinking perhaps the final designs for some of the Transformers Robot Modes have not been finalized yet. I'm hoping that they at least give them some recognizability factor, especially with Megatron and Starscream.

true, but i think burton's depiction of the waynes' death is better. you just care more in BB because they are somewhat developed as acharacters

Burton's version made me believe there is truely something wrong with Bruce Wayne.

That's because there's truly something wrong with Burton.

I like both versions myself, even though I left the cinema feeling a bit ripped off after Batman Begins. I just felt the first one was more fun and Batman didn't cheat by strapping a glider to his back.

Totally agreed! BB was darn good... but it was missing a certain yo no se que. It was "dark," but wasn't dark... the way Burton's is. IMHO Burton captured the essense of Batman.

I still think the plot was lame.... even though I've come to appreciate it as I've grown older (the vanity subtext that drives the story).

When did this become the "Batman vs. Batman Begins" thread, and why?? I thought Batman had his own forum?

Ever since Transformers news has slowed down to a trickle.

So, why not post Batman stuff in the Batman threads?

Sheesh...I dunno. If you're so irked about it then come up with an interesting Transformer related topic.

Um, Mal'Akai, they're called tangents and they evolve naturally-- - sometimes it's fun to talk about Batman with a fellow -TF- fan. The tangent will die on its own... unless of course you come along and fan it. If you don't like it, don't post or respond. Sheesh.

To get back to the tangent at hand, I didn't like Burton's Batman at all. Even his Bruce Wayne didn't do it for me. I'm sorry but I never pictured Bruce saying, "You wanna get nuts!?! Come on! Let's get nuts!" That's a total wtf moment for me. Of course this is just my opinion.

The Crow was more of a Batman movie for me than Burton's Batman.

Personally I preffer the Phantom ["the ghost who walks"], who, historically speaking, was before Batman. Anyone else on here a fan?

I loved 'The Phantom' in the 'Defenders of the Earth' cartoon. Too bad he sucked when adapted to the big screen with Billy Zane. I would like to see a mature animated movie/series about 'The Phantom.'
