At E3, Nintendo played a demo for a new Metroid game from Team Ninja, the creators of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive. All I can say is...

ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMG!

Seriously, that trailer had me pumped. The rest of Nintendo's show nearly put me to sleep, but they saved the best for last. I almost might buy a Wii just to get that game, and I actually sat out for Metroid Prime 3 despite being a big Metroid fanboy. Basically, it's like a mix between Metroid Prime and Ninja Gaiden, which actually looks way more kick ass than I could have imagined. The trailer should be up on the internets soon.

Anyone have any theories on the black guy in the trailer?

I think it's time for Ninty to get some voice acting in their games. It's not a huge deal but it would be nice change from the norm.

No, adam is the general guy that said "Any objections lady" as that was one of the things she mentioned that he said in Fusion, also the whole he always called her "Lady" part.

Someone over at the PA forums said the black guy is one of the characters from the Metroid manga which I guess is considered canon.

Upon seeing the trailer again, I got the two characters in the trailer mixed-up. I know someone in that trailer said "Any objections, lady".

Man, this looks so awesome. I keep getting more and more hyped and it's still like a year away. The only thing I could complain about is having to watch Team Ninja's 30 second intro everytime.

The best part is when Samus has that thing in a headlock and shoots it in the face. She better choke something with her grapple beam.

I have to say I must give Nintendo props on this. Handing over one of their more action oriented franchises to Team Ninja was a pretty brilliant move.

I'm so stupid. If there's a game that Team Ninja should handle, it's Strider. They already know how to make a kickass Ninja game. They just need to switch characters.

But at the end of the trailer it shows the missile and health supply and the rumors going around is that it's giving us the realease date in a sly way: 3/25/2010

We'll see though.

Note: I don't have access to the trailer right now at work, so I can't remember if the number is 25 or not...so either way that's the rumor.
