Miami Vice

Okay, I'll catch it this weekend and let you guys know what I think.

For what it's worth, I dig realistic crime dramas. THE WIRE, just finished catching the first season on HBO, is ****ing awesome.

Btw, I heard that Don Johnson was kinda a jerk. Supposedly, Farrell tried to be kinda respectful and call him for some advice, but Johnson never returned any of his calls.

I think it's good on Farrell's part, but kinda bad on Johnson's part.

I've just seen this movie.

Well, I think it was very good movie with good cast, enough action and not bad script.

What worked?

1. Soundtrack - one of the best soundtracks of the movies'06. Just excellent!

2. Cinematography - cameraman made great job and maybe he will even get OScar Award!

3. Cast - I really liked the casting, Farrell and Foxx were cool and I was fine with them. Other cast also was good.

4. The direction - Mann made not the greatest movie in his life, but still very good action flick with part of thriller.

5. The Editing - it was some kind of Tony Scott's usual movie.

What didn't work?

Script - sory guys, but I was expecting more from it. Script didn't have any twists or logical aspects. It was just script of another movie about cops. SOme scenes were short and effective, but some were long and a bit boring, Besudes, the whole movie we see only 2 things - dialogues between cops and bad guys and sex scenes.

My rate is 8 out of 10 - Very good movie.

No, they acted like real cops. And I liked that Mann showed some operation scenes like in real life.

Awesome movie. In fact its a grown man's movie. Everything abou this movie oozed cool. The gun shot effects were amazng, once this is released on dvd I'm copping this.

Yeah, I heard that they're trying to see if they can get Pacino, Deniro, Kilmer.....all of 'em, for rights on the likeiness and see if they'll do the voices. And I read that they're trying to see if Michael Mann can consult as well.

My guess? It probably won't happen. I mean, it sounds like a tough call to see if they can get ALL of them do do this thing. Pacino didn't have anything to do with THE GODFATHER.....so, I doubt he'll do this one. But, I hope the game gets done. It would be interesting, at the very least.

Btw, since we're on the subject of Miami Vice and games....anyone play Miami Vice for the PSP? I've been looking around and it seems to be a great game. Anyone check it out?

Pacino is doing the voice for the upcoming Scarface game, so maybe he would do Heat.

I hope they do a sequel for MV. Liked the first one. Not great, but really good.

lol...yeah, confusion all right. Miami Vice is out on the PSP, I've heard nothing but good about that too. And Heat is getting a game too, but on all systems. And Scarface is getting Pacino, so he might do Heat...which is good. And Miami Vice could get a sequel.
