Okay, this seems to be the DVD cover art for the GERMANY release. GERMANY, since someone pointed out in the Vice forums that the bottom of the cover, the language appears to be in german.

The billing order is weird. Farrell's name is listed first, but his name appears over Foxx's image on the cover. I wonder if that's some weird German thing where Farrell is more popular over there or something.

I read that somewhere, that all of of the international posters, trailers, clips, showed Farrell's name first.

Well, makes sense.....I mean watch the film (and for that matter, the tv show) and Crockett is really the dominant character. There's just enough of Tubbs for me, but there is alot of Crockett.

Yeah, but I was mainly noting how the order was different over here, with Foxx's name being first. I thought Farrell should be listed first, but of course we have to have the big time Oscar winner look like he's running the show, despite the fact that Farrell out-acted him everytime.

Okay, I found this video on the Vice forums, and thought it'd be pretty funny to show here.

But....first, in case some of you don't know the story, supposedly....there's some tension from Don Johnson (the original Sonny Crockett from the show) towards Collin Farrell.

Collin has said numerous times that he called Don for advice on the role and hell....maybe just out of respect b/c Don had really made the character work. But, Johnson didn't return any of his calls and rumors have it he's being a dick about it all.

And, then there's the Jamie Foxx thing. Supposedly, Jamie ran into a drunk (maybe....) Don Johnson and had said to Foxx, "Tell Collin when he's done with my jockstrap that I want it back."

So, there ya go....watch the video and kinda know the little story behind it.

Who knows if that's even true. Jamie Foxx is an ass from what I understand, so he could be just talking his usual ****. Then again, Johnson may be a dick himself.

Hey, if Foxx is wrong (for some reason, I doubt it though....I mean, I think he could have come up with something funnier) then the upside is that he's backing his boy Collin.

But, from what I hear about Johnson.....chances are.....it's probably true.

Was bored and decided to watch a few trailers that I've downloaded (I do that from time to time), and Miami Vice has to be one of the most kickass trailers I've seen in recent years.

I never really cared for those Jay-Z/Linkin Park crapfests, but it works here.

Yeah, the teaser was very well made and did its job of hooking my interest. I am with you on that song, I didn't like it before but I do now. I only wish there was the extended remix version from the teaser WITHOUT the Jay-Z rap crap accompaniment.

Does anyone know if there is one available?

It's all about tastes, I guess. I like hip-hop, and really....I like all types of genres.

I dug the remix version for it though. The clicks and clacks made in the remix works really well for gun loading scenes they used in the trailer.

But, I think we all agree here....that trailer has got to be one of the best put together trailers out there. I mean, it was nicely done.

I dunno about Johnson looking for a heartbeat.....I mean, Like I've said....the guy has a rep for being that way anyways. So, whatever.

I'm definitely excited. Though is this the original cut that Mann made, or is this some alternate third cut? I'm always suspicious of Unrated/Director's Cuts nowadays, because every film has one. The Alien Director's Cut is one example. The label is misleading, because Ridley Scott prefers the 1979 version.

But this one might be correct.

Well, from what I keep hearing.....Mann had cut a film that ad more scenes and different stuff. The biggest thing I hear was a boat chase scene that starts the movie, and supposedly a shootout in the middle of the flick as well.

As the rumor goes.....the studio freaked after a screening, and edited....making it shorter and cutting stuff out.

So, they're going to give us both. Interesting.......I wonder if I should get both.....

That's what I had heard as well. The question is, is this unrated cut that earlier version of his, or just some third cut for marketing purposes? It's all so confusing.

And I can't imagine the movie opening with a boat chase, as the club scene works so damn well. I'll have to see it before deciding, though.

Can't wait to get it.

Yeah...those are the questions I think we're all waiting to see get answered.

I mean, let's face it......they're already screwing us over here by having two different dvd's coming our way. They could EASILY shove it all into one package......but they'll probably make more money this way. So....I wouldn't hold it past the studio to come out with some SPECIAL EDITION thing 8 or 12 months later.

But, I'm a slave to this ****....so I'll probably get em anyways.
