Michael B Jordan IS Erik Killmonger!

There's gonna be a joke. It's too obvious to pass up.

Yeah, but they sound like regular-sounding Irish surnames to me. I've met people before named Killgrave. Just like I've met people with the surname "Strange" before.

You realize it's an alias and not his real name right?

That's why I asked whether it was like Luke Charles.

Dude is freakin' cut AF. Were Evans and Hemsworth ever this cut?

Hemsworth? Yes, in Thor 1 and AoU at least, he was ripped
Evans, tho? Not really, he gets bulky, but not as cut

Good to see MbJ is workin out hard tho, he's finally approaching that Carl Weathers size

Is he planning to do a Creed sequel? Because if he is, this will stand him in good stead for that. Unless he's planning to do a reboot of the Machinist.

What does Killmonger's classic hairstyle look like? An afro?

Oh wow after this no one is going to care about Loki anymore because Erik is such a VILF

I wonder if MBJ will have an accent in this film

He better. I'm hoping they remember his name was N'Jadaka before he took the name Erik Killmonger (which makes sense since Killmonger is an odd surname to be born with).

Anyway, while I prefer Killmonger to be a huge dude, I love his swagger throughout. I think he'll do great in this role (although, with two to three villains, I'm not going to assume it's a meaty role).

I just want to see him and T'Challa go at it and for their fight scene to actually be epic

It's a shame we won't get a Killmonger/Killgrave team up.

Killmonger grew up in America in the comics so if they follow the lore he will probable have an American accent

Killmonger and M'Baku both being big dudes would be pretty redundant.

Will Killmonger buck the trend of weak MCU villains???

1. Winter Soldier
2. Loki
3. Lets not kid ourselves this is as far as it goes. Honorable mention to Iron Monger though.

I'd throw Zemo at N.2, Bucky afterwards. Maybe Ego at N.4.

Let's not kid ourselves that you are not a DC fan throwing shade...

Thats low.

Im kind of too old to be playing those games. MCU is the best. Better then we could have dreamed of ten years ago. Im loving what I saw so far of BP. But they arent perfect.

Tell me who I am missing.

You thought Ego was good? Was Ronan interesting to you? Was I supposed to like the fake Mandarin? Did Ultron live up to expectations? To be honest I liked Whiplash alot more then most others seem to. Thor's never had to deal with someone on his level...

Im all ears.

Zemo was interesting. He was smart, brains behind the scenes type guy. His plan worked.

The reason I didnt like Zemo is because he didnt have anything in common with CB Zemo whatsoever. They invented a character and just used Zemo's name. I can never go for that.

Ego was cool for what GoTG is. He wasnt bad. Just forgettable.

Winter Soldier isn't even a villain, just an antagonist, and Loki to this point has mostly been an anti-villain. Hopefully Killmonger is a well developed full on villain in this movie.

I agree and this is whats missing. Lets be honest, this isnt a criticism, its just the truth, most villains in the MCU havent been treated as actual characters, they've been treated as plot devices for the heroes.

Im hoping different for Killmonger.

Ego, Winter Soldier, Loki, Zemo, killgrave, Kingpin, Cottonmouth (you asked for MCU villains, they are also MCU villains). I count more good villains than the other studios and definitely more good villains than the last instances of Fox and DC. Ego and Zemo were good. Maybe not top 10 all time but good. And they are considered good villains from the majority of people.

From the last 3 MCU villains 2 were good ones. from the last 3-4 Fox or DCEU movies i can't pinpoint one good villain. I trust Marvel with villains right now way more than the other universes.

Nope. The tv division isnt part of the MCU. And thats not me being picky, thats how Disney divided things.

Tell me what was good about Ego. What makes him a good villain?

The TV shows are part of the MCU. It isn't up for debate regardless of how little the two divisions work together.

Nope. The tv division is MCU and their villains are MCU villains. Are they in the same continuity, yes or no? That's like saying that Alien 4 isn't canon because it sucked. You are manufacturing a way to suit your argument that doesn't match reality.

Ego was a good villain because for a being like him, hiss motive made complete sense. If you had the power to influence and improve the universe you wouldn't care about singular relationships. Despite that he still managed to fall in love with a human and the only way he would complete his bigger goal was by killing her. His lack of understanding about human psychology also made him think that Quill would ally with him because of his Celestial heritage and not because of his desire to have parental figure.
