Michael B Jordan IS Erik Killmonger!

A lot of villains start with a good point or reason for what they are doing but then cross and often go way past the line of what is ok to do about it. Magneto was certainly like that.

Just curious, but why are people saying they agree with Killmonger?

Probably because they either grew up in American poverty or are within distance of seeing it up close.

Just curious, but why are people saying they agree with Killmonger? From what I've read, his whole plan is pretty racist, so I don't get why so many reviewers are saying that he makes a good point?

His main point is if you have the tech and the wealth why not share it to make everyone and the world better. Now his way of going about it and hardcore belief in it make it extreme and one sided.

Nebula I liked a lot.

I really thought Ultron was Whedon's dream project which is why I thought AoU was going to be better than Avengers. :(

Ultron seemed like a way to just make Vision(who really hasn't done much either imo). Ultron sat back a lot and just took damage when it came to battle.

But doesn't his character only apply that spirit of altruism towards his own race?

Did anyone else think the Gold Jaguar suit looked amazing?!

Such a distinct and awesome design!

I liked it fine, but considering it [BLACKOUT]was supposed to be a costume that T’Challa himself could’ve easily chosen to wear,[/BLACKOUT] I’m wondering why it looked like a jaguar at all. It should’ve just been a [BLACKOUT]black and gold version of T’Challa’s suit,[/BLACKOUT] right?

Yes he does which would be the extreme. I think if he was taken into Wakanda after what happen to his dad he would have a different opinion of course. Maybe he would have wanted to help all people or just his race but not through violence.

His view kind of won out in the end but through a better way in what T'Challa will do.

I also thought he had a few jokes too many to take seriously.

I just read someone describe Killmonger as [BLACKOUT]BLM[/BLACKOUT].

Interesting comparison. I'll have to analyse that after I watch the film a few more times.

Very good point! I think that's a mature way to conclude the story, to have the hero learn from the villain and see the best in their ideas, rather than demonizing them completely. I wish more movies would do that, to be honest.

The problem of basing it off of Tony's brainwave and having Jarvis involved with it. If Ultron was just some original project Tony worked on it could have been better.

Uh, no. He’s not. The only comparison you can really make is being pro-black people.

Either that or make the jokes wittier like Stark, less painful like the omelette one, and less frequent. Especially near the end.

I liked the omelette line, LOL!

Yes and he wanted to supply the members of his race with advanced weapons so they could take over governments, kill innocents, and "restart the world". There's a small kernel of goodness in what he wants to do but he's mostly a really bad guy. The way T'Challa ends up going about it is much better.

Really my only "complaint" with Killmonger is that
I kind of wish that they hadn't killed him off in the end (especially since they also killed off Klaw as well) as I would have liked to see more of him in the future (also that's two major BP villains offed in the same movie).

Yeah, I could have done with more of both of them. At least Killmonger's death added something to this film.

Agreed on both points. The 2nd though is why I was so disappointed in Ultron. Real shame.

Agreed. Though I get why they did it.

It's often difficult with whether to kill a major villain or allow him to remain a life for future use. Joker surviving in The Dark Knight made sense. But some films, the hero needs to OFF the villain. Otherwise, I feel they villain becomes very underutilized later on or feels like a completely different character.

would it have made sense if T'Challa allowed him to live?

I wasn't overly impressed with Killmonger. He wasn't bad or anything, but people were hyping him up big time. I think I enjoyed Klaue more than Killmonger in this movie. And as far as Marvel villains go, I still think Keaton's Vulture is my favorite, followed by Loki.
