I'm more psyched to see Magneto in this that I was previously.

With the new images and clips think it's because this is the most we've seen Fassneto so defeated. He looks like he's succumbed and given up the fight and resigned himself to a normal life that doesn't fit with his ideals.

So far he's always been driven, even in prison he was still Magneto. Now he's just Erik, an average Schmuck

It flows from the end of X-Men Days of Future Past well since he was defeated on national TV live to all the Mutants he said he was going to lead. He walked off defeated and embarresed so he's probably doubting himself as the one to bring about the revolution and is living in a state of near depression

I agree, it's an interesting progression from DOFP.

I am assuming from the set reports thae magneto is living a normal happy life with a family and a job and then something tragic will happen and take it away sendin over the edge

probably wont be a case of magneto missing his ideals, at least thats not how it sounds

I think so. I think they may kill his wife and daughter in front of him, hence the wooden weapons.

comics version : Mag falls in love with Madga. they give birth to Anya. She dies. Madga give birth to twins (Wanda/Petro). Magneto ignores their existence at first. Mr Mrs Maximoff become their adoptive parents.

Long time after that, he falls in love with an american woman. They give birth to Polaris.


movie version - Erik and MRS Maximoff have children. Pietro and his sisters (POSSIBLY)

Then, he lives in Europe and have a daughter (Anya or Polaris) (POSSIBLY)

That'll erupt the Cherik audience. Though I'm hoping for the big impact as well. Gives more emotional meat to his back story.

In fact, I think Im one of the few people online to refer to him as "Magnus" 90% of the time.

Every time I see Fassy in this movie I feel blessed. James, Michael and Jen give this franchise a trio of leads that can go toe to toe with any other superhero franchise.

We're lucky to have him, have him play one of the best Marvel villains and ultimately have him enjoy making these films, which seem like fun things he does in between his more artsier and smaller projects.
