Bay Shoots Back at Willis
12s.jpg
Director Michael Bay has hit back at Bruce Willis after the actor wrote an internet blog vowing never to work with him again. The pair fell out on the set of Armageddon, prompting Willis to recently write, "Few people will work with Bay now, and I know I will never work with him again. A screaming director does not make for a pleasant set experience." But Transformers filmmaker Bay claims' Willis rant is just a publicity stunt for his latest film Live Free Or Die Hard. He says, "If you look, he posted at 3:30 in the morning; Does anything good happen at 3:30 in the morning? I think we have movies that were supposed to open on the same date and I think he thought, 'Maybe I'll get some fans if I do that.' Bruce wrote, 'If Michael Bay would have done Live Free Or Die Hard, it would have sucked.' Now, my action is usually pretty good. So I'll put it to the test. Put Transformers action against Live Free Or Die Hard action. If you want to go the competitive way, we can go there."

I havent seen Die Hard 4 yet, is it better than Transformers?

This is old news.

but if you want "to go there", Die Hard 4 has higher user and critic ratings at rottentomatoes, IMDB, yahoo movies, and metacritic...so, yeah.

oh sorry i only heard about it today -_-' ges ive been livin under a rock or sumin..

thanks for that, however regarding the action in both movies is it the same story?

I will say that both films were good....Transformers was more of a family film and Die Hard 4.0 was for adults. I don't blame Willis for hating Transformers, it crushed Die Hard. Die Hard had a good story and better acting than Transformers.

Bruce never attacked the Transformers movie, only the director.

But since then Bruce Willis said he didn't really mean it and Bay's not a bad guy.

I didn't care for either DH4 or Transformers but if I had to see either one again it would definitely be DH4.

LFODH was loads better than Transformers, but not only in action, but characters and story, too. It's the only movie in many years that I would go back and see again and again on the big screen.

I thought Transformers was better than live free or die hard; some of the action was over the top in DH4 for me...especially the part where he hits the helicopter with the car (hes an average man...it just bothered me, but it was a good movie)

To nitpick a little, both has 8.0 at IMDB. :)

Personally, I love Die Hard, but 4.0 was just a apetizer. Transformers had better action. But, all i all, they should make a Die Hard movie were McClane buys a car thats a giant ****ing robot. :trans:

They are both great films.

Personally, I liked Transformers a lot more than LFDH, but that movie was nothing to be ashamed of.

Die Hard was a great action film, but didn't have the freshness or AWE that Transformers had.

Although I loved both films, Live Free or Die Hard was, critically, a better film than Transformers. The former would be my favorite film of the summer, and the latter would be my #3 (after Ratatouille).

Most people I talk to seem to be almost forcing pleasure at DH4 .... After watching it with two mates we were simply glad it was not terrible rather than feeling we had seen an awesome movie.

The story falls away towards the end and it never rises above average/good.

Transformers was pure entertainment ... it felt fresh and is in my opinion the only movie this summer to deliver the promise of a 'thrill ride'!

i liked them equally...

TF was something new... yet it had its ugly moments.

Die Hard was just plain kickass... but had nothing absolutely new to offer(compared to TF)

Well that was prob the last Die Hard film and they didnt get better with sequels, Transformers on the other hand... well we'll see

I preferred DH4 to transformers, action was waaay better as you could actually see what was happening!!

DH4 was nothing speciall. Seen it all before. The story was the worst of all the series and even more ridicolus then transformers. When the latter is about giant robots from space.... Well that tells it all.

The only thing that made DH4 worth the watch is John McClane. He is the biggest action icon ever. DH1 is the best action-flick ever made. But what a crappy surrounding they put him in, in DH4. It lacked the "soul" found in DH1 and DH3. Even DH2 was better.

Len Wiseman comes up with nothing new and as a director he is by no means the action-quality that Bay is.

They have the same ratings on Imdb even though TF has 30.000 votes more and on Yahoo it has A-....DH has B+....so,no.

DH is proven franchise so of course it will have better critics than TF....95% of the critics judged TF by the cartoon by how stupid it was,how the concept of giant robots was stupid, they werent reviewing as a movie...that's why there is a big difference between the reviews of the critics and the reviews of the public.

Were there seriously anyone who liked BOTH films without very much flaws?
