Been playing this for a couple hours now. I'm really digging it. Combat is extremely fun and addicting and I'm enjoying the trash talk bad guys dish out.

so I check my receipt for the Dark Ranger code, and it says PS4 users have to wait till 11/15/14 before they can redeem the code. what??!!

Did your game not come with the code in the box? I entered all my pre-order bonus codes (including the dark ranger) and they work.

This game is pretty cool

I actually haven't had a chance to open it yet. so I'll check.

but I thought the Dark Ranger code was printed on the receipt.

Played the first two hours this game is good. Can't wait 2 see what other lands we visit

It's my understanding that we only visit two locations: the rocky, mountainous part of Mordor you start in, and then a more fertile/grasslands area.

EDIT: I guess the "two" areas I read about in the past are just the maps, but within those two maps, we'll apparently visit all of Mordor, including Barad-Dur and Mount Doom.

Well that is kind of disappointing. Now I want a proper open world game using this game mechanics

I know, right? I think/hope this is a testing of the waters/mechanics, so to speak for a game like that in the future. The game is fun as hell (though admittedly fairly basic in some areas) and I'd love to see the dev team show what they can do/how they can push forward in this franchise.

I say just do an amazing open world RPG based on the movies. Using everything in this game & they get a win

Think of it this way.. Look at how AA was compared to AC and look at AC and compare it to AK..

I think this is them testing the waters. I'm sure the next game will be twice the size.

I hope the sales of this game are high enough to make what you guys are talking about a possibility. About time for a definitive open world game that does full justice to the LotR films.

The possibilities are endless! I'd love to visit Harad or Rhûn.

I'm considering buying a PS4 because of this game. Otherwise I would wait til the release of Arkham Knight.

So they basically made Batman in Middle-earth... and I love it so much. :awesome:

The game is just so much fun to play. Already got a good 15 hours out of it and have enjoyed every moment of it. Not much in terms of a narrative, but it doesn't really matter. Because it is so much fun to play.

This game is raw as ****! Loving every minute of it. So much to dig. Played 2 hours of it and forced myself to put it down so I can wake up and get stuff done in the morning haha. I was doing hella good then tried to be a badass and take out a bunch of orcs when all I needed to do was headshot the captain and ended up losing a qucktime matchup. But can't wait to get home and play it more tomorrow after work

Yea it's a really deep and fun experience. I love the nemesis system. Sure it definitely borrows heavily from the arkham games and even a bit from assassins creed but the total package is simply a great game.
