Nov. 11, thanks guys just marked it on my calender definitely a day one purchase for me. Right now I'm a little sick of First Person game since their their basically all shooters but this looks awesome.

In a certain month, it is Gran Turismo, in the next SingStar, as well as Third-Party Title as mirrors Edge by Electronic Arts are part of this strategy. “ According to Reeves Mirrors Edge will initially exclusively for the PS3 this year. PC and Xbox 360 versions would follow much later.

After watching a bunch of clips of the game...It just looks amazing...very detailed, and it's an interesting direction for a action/platformer to go.

My only issue is that it looks like it could get a bit tedious...hopefully I'm wrong though.

Mirror's Edge to have PS3-exclusive DLC

A number of you sent in a tip last week regarding SCEE president David Reeves, who was quoted as saying Mirror's Edge will be a timed exclusive on the PS3. Well, it isn't true. It looks like that was "a misunderstanding in terms of the quote," a Sony spokesperson told Eurogamer.

But the representative did have something else to say. "PlayStation has an exclusive marketing agreement with EA regarding the title. Exclusive downloadable content will be offered on the PlayStation Network."

No other details regarding the DLC were given at this time, such as the nature of the content or whether other platforms will get exclusive DLC as well. Considering the big bucks the PS3 is bringing to EA, we wouldn't be surprised if this is just another way for them show they play nice with Sony.

The game does look very interesting. I'll probably ask for it for Christmas rather than picking it up though, I'm much more hyped for Gears 2 and with the original Banjo-Kazooie being free with a pre-order, not gonna have the time or money for another game in November.

Reminds me of Breakdown. I just hope that the responsiveness of the controls is better than what Breakdown had to offer, and that there won't be a section near the end of the game that removes any urge I had of ever finishing the game (referring to the white room)

It actually was released on the PS3 before the 360. I played it and my biggest fear was that it would make me dizzy and it did. I wish you could play in third person but that would take away from what its going for. I thought the demo did a good job at portraying the game play as I wasnt quite sure about it at first. Using the shoulder buttons for the actions instead of the face buttons was an odd choice, but works surprisingly well

I think my biggest fear is that it will just be kind of dull. I was excited to try the game out, and maybe it's because I've seen this level before, but it is just extremely linear, simple, and kind of bleh. I don't know if i'd enjoy a whole game of this, and it's such a simple concept that I don't see it not being repetitive. Run, find red thing, jump.

It's a gorgeous game and the controls are dead on, I'm just iffy about this being a great game, instead of just a great tech/style demo.

I've heard that there are going to be sequels; That it's going to be turned into a trilogy. (Of course...) Even with that in mind I don't think this game's success will be that it spawned a franchise, but rather it will influence games in the future. You'll start to see traces of it here and there in many other games over the next couple of years, I think.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the demo. Sadly, not enough to purchase the game.
