Probably why he missed :oldrazz:

Is that where he got the injury?

If that's a chase sequence, doing that jump is almost like "oh, let's just commit suicide" in the middle of it.

Yeah it’s where he got his injury. I’m guessing that the jump may not be that large and instead is just the camera lense making it look that way.

Tom missing the landing was actually in the script. But hitting his foot against the side of the building wasn't.

It was his ankle that broke? I thought it was his ribs for some reason.

Graham Norton has got some footage, I watched some of the long distance shots which I think was the actual stunt, But I skipped watching the video that focused on Toms foot as his ankle broke.
No thank you.

Footage of his foot breaking. He completed the shot and that take is in the film.

Damn! :wow: That was brutal, don't know how he managed to finish the shot. They are promoting early though aren't they? All 4 on a talk show 7 months out.

Such aggressive promotion is probably going to payoff in terms highly successful box office.
Along with great trailers and a fantastic movie as well of course!

That was pretty painful.

He looks like he's put on a bit of weight around his face. He's definitely showing his age now.

He even continued to run after breaking his ankle. There was also this accident while filming Oblivion.

Cruise is powered by Xenu.

Ouch, my leg hurts after watching that. Props to Tom for finishing the take.

Obviously don’t know what Cavill’s role is but assuming he’s not a villain, would love to see him, Hall, and Pegg as the new field team while Cruise is the IMF director.

Cruise will never take the backseat role.

Watching the full episode right now. Cruise mentioned him as the antagonist. He also mentioned he's not the main one as Solomon Lane is the villain. I have a feeling they are downplaying it or he is in fact just a pawn working for Lane as he is pulling the strings while in prison. They had some photos of scenes from the movie as well.

I would love Cavill to take over from Crusie, that would work well...

damn I love these movies

You and me both brother! :D

I'd rather he take over the Bond role. I have a feeling he will be a really great and vicious villain in this. His look in all the stills give me a really strong impression of this. Not to mention what they said on the Graham Norton show.

Cavill's way too "nice" for Bond, unless they want to go all Roger Moore again. Has the look, has the confident/suave thing down - which totally worked fine for The Man From U.N.C.L.E., but Bond has that vicious borderline-psycho element to him too, which'd be pretty laughable coming from Henry. Guy oozes "boyscout"ness.

Fallout's a pretty cool title for an MI flick, like the single word element. Does give the sense it's going to be another nuclear story, but whatever, that fits MI to a tee anyway.

Wait until this comes out. I'm willing to bet he will more than be Ethan's match. I have a feeling he will be a really vicious and downright personal villain to the team.

I feel sorry for studios and directors that work with Cruise. Insuring him in case of injury and managing him must be a nightmare. Sure, he is a pro at stunts and a stuntman in his own right so they know he'll do things as well as he can, but at the same time he risks his life at least once in every action movie he does. That motorcycle wreck especially was dangerous. No helmet, no wires, no harness...he could have dislocated a joint, broke a bone, blown a disc, broke his neck, gotten brain damage etc. for a small ultimately inconsequential moment in the film. And then he gets up and does the stunt again. On the one hand it's impressive and awesome and I love him for his work ethic, but on the other hand he is crazy.
