BvS MOS 2 and Justice League being filmed simultaneously?

I'm pretty sure this:

Man of Steel
Batman vs. Superman
Justice League
Wonder Woman
The Flash

is indeed what we are getting from WB in the near future. With sequels and solo Batman films and AQUAMAN if WONDER WOMAN and THE FLASH succeed.

And that suits me just fine.

I'd like another solo Superman film at least. Braniac as the villain.

Why do I get the feeling that this is what we can expect to be our overall line up villains...

1. MOS: General Zod

2. BVS: Lex Luthor

3. JL: Brainiac

I'd prefer...

MOS: Zod

BvS: Luthor

Justice League: Darkseid

MOS2: Braniac

Wonder Woman: Ares

The Flash: Zoom

Batman: Hugo Strange

I just thought how cool a Wes Anderson Blue Beetle movie would be with Jason Schwartzman as Ted.

Wacky comedy. It'd be called a ripoff of Antman though.

Kinda like Darkseid would be called a rip off of Thanos....

I would approve of that greatly.

Indeed; I mean it does seem like this is a route that they may potentially go, especially with how some have theorized that this could just be one hell of a big arc that gets Superman from exposed Alien to Leader of the Justice League at the end of this.

When the JL film is done, then they'll probably do films on other DC Heroes and bring back Superman for the JL films only or for one more solo...but I feel like BVS and JL could in fact be included with MOS as being one big Superman-JL themed trilogy.

I imagine that MOS/BvsS/JL could indeed be one three-part opening story where the DC universe status quo is set by the end (Watchtower and all).

After Snyder's opener, then we get "issue #1's" so to speak with different creative teams.

2018 Superman: The Man of Tomorrow (Bird), Wonder Woman (Wyatt)
2019 Batman: The Caped Crusader (Affleck), The Flash (Kosinski)
etc

Who knows though. Maybe after 2016's BvsS (which perhaps will introduce audiences to WW, Flash, etc, though they won't work together yet), then we'll get solos in 2017/18 to flesh them out, and then in 2019 we'll get Justice League with them all working together. This back to back business release is still a rumor.

A lot of villains could be labeled as copying The Avengers.

Darkseid / Thanos
Brainiac / Ultron (AI)
Ares / Loki (Gods)
Ocean Master / Loki (brother of protagonist from mythical world)
White Martians / Chitauri (alien army)

I think they should probably just not worry about it and go with what would make for the best story.

Don't forget the really obvious ones.

Sentry/Superman
Quicksilver/Flash
Deadpool/Deathstroke
Antman/Atom

^Yes, though I meant specifically copying the Avengers movies.

And I don't think people will see Flash as a ripoff of Quicksilver. People know that his inclusion in the JL movie is a given, unlike say the decision to use...Darkseid or Brainiac, etc, which they might interpret as WB copying Marvel's decision to use Thanos or Ultron, etc because it worked in the Avengers movies.

But again, like I said, it's not a big enough reason to not use the villain.

I agree.

It's funny though that the most blatant rip off Deadpool/Deathstroke is actually the least obvious. Since those characterizations ahave evolved to be so different.

Slade Wilson being a stoic badass and Wade Wilson being a wacky fourth wall breaking psychopathic badass.

Agree with all of those, except Hugo Strange. Never even thought of him as a particularly good Batman villain (but that's just IMO), I reckon the next Bat-film either needs to reboot the Joker, or have a team-up

For a straight out Batman film.....What about Joe Pesci as a really psychotic and scary Penguin ( drawing on his portrayals of psychotic scary mobsters -who have sqwaky voices and look a lot like the penguin, in Goodfellas and Casino). The character could be really well adapted for the screen.

Anyway, team him up with Edward Nigma (the Riddler) a computer hacker, who holds Gotham hostage. Batman has to solve a series of diabolical riddles to see where he'll strike next.

Just thinking, off the top of my head here.

I'm not saying we should go 100% Nolan on the portrayal, but bring the characters into the 21st century.

As for JL, Darkseid all the way, and MOS 2, Brainiac

there's some great source material in Geoff Johns JL : origins, and in
Superman:Brainiac, with the latter being one of my favourite Superman stories.

Anyway, let's hope WB has a sensible plan and can put these films out at a decent interval. ( in 2016 Henry Cavill will be still only be 33, so he could be doing Superman films for quite a while).

On the whole back-to-back note, the Hobbit, and Lord of the Rings were shot together. While the Hobbit isn't the triumph that LOTR is, it's still pretty good for the genre, with part 2 being far superior.

As such, there is probably a case for doing B v S and JL together. (just hope they don't make the same mistakes they did in the Matrix films, yuck !)

The cliffhanger ending is a tried and true tactic ( hell, that's probably the only reason people went to see Matrix revolutions, but also what packed out cinemas for Return of the Jedi, I remember lining up for hours to see
that back in 1983 ! ).

Regardless, looking forward to seeing the JL onscreen at last.

Peace out Super-fans :super:

I would add Metallo and/or Deadstroke in BVS and in JL if Brainiac not maybe Darkseid. But I love to see the colu version of Brainiac.

mfw I'm gonna hear the general audience say "**** Darkseid, he's a Thanos ripoff! DC's so ******ed!!!" because they don't read comics.

If DC can get a JL movie with Darkseid out in 2017, they can avoid that completely since Thanos will have only been seen in post-credit scenes in Marvel movie. Thanos probably won't be a proper on-screen character till Avengers 3 in maybe 2018.

I remember hearing some guy lean over to tell his friends at the end of Avengers "It's Galactus"

2016 Apocalypse
2017 Darkseid
2018 Thanos (well.. 2012 in Avengers & 2014 in GotG)

Pretty sure Thanos is in GotG. Unless I'm not up to date with Marvel news.

You can't have a mischievous, giggling chemically-induced enemy! It's too much like the Joker! You also can't have a megalomaniac alien who wants to control Earth, it's too much like Superman II's Zod!

To be fair, how different is Brainiac from Zod? They both seem like characters whose purpose revolves around similar things.
