True.
Still it's a modern day Key issue, and I bought 3 copies the day it hit! Yay 4 me.

Yeah, I think he may have been but if he was he was standing behind Doom and Magneto, and he did not look too bothered.

I should point out right about now that effectively in 616, Spidey did not in fact watch the WTC fall.
ASM Vol2#36 was an out of continuity tribute by JMS/JR JR to the relief work done by the FDNY on the day that the attack happened and the following months to clear the site.
It can also be viewed essentially as JMS' personal thoughts about the event and its ramifications.

It has been stated several times by the creators and Marvel that the issue was a tribute and was not part of 616 cannon.
thats a shame... i dont see why it shouldnt be in continuity..

Not my point. If he didn't freak out over Peter's age then, why would he do it now?
because he didn't seem to know or acknowledge the fact he was a kid

But Ock's no idiot. You really think he could LOOK at a scrawny 15-year-old in tights & think he was an adult? You really think after fighting someone for 10 years, he wouldn't notice that over the years the guy had gotten taller, bigger & his voice had deepened?

logically.. ya i'd agree, but as for comic continuity he wasn't suppose to know

Because barring the intent of cloning the person, there's no use for it. Vacuum it up & get rid of it. Do you have a lock of hair from every person who's ever been in your house? I sure as hell don't.
your also not a multi billionare who's a futurist and loves science and technology.. plus acording to the eternals Tony stark might actually be one

probably resptect for the victims families
they might think putting that in continuity trivializes their loss

not really... plus the people who would be upset about it being in continuity would most likely be the ones that wouldnt want it published all together

Screw that eternals crap. Plus, you only prove that as a scientist, he wouldn't save the hair unless he intended to use it. Thatt alone makes him an amoral backstabber.

I don't think they feared upsetting the families; I think Marvel felt it best not to do it in continuity. Why would anyone object to it being published? The victims' families benefitted from it.

I don't buy it. Here's another one; the time Peter was sick & tried to fight Ock. The fact that this teenager even thought he could pass for Spider-Man didn't strike Otto as strange? No way could he have thought he was dealing with an adult.

i could care less if you buy it or not, thats the way it was always written

People protest things that don't affect them? Really?
I know. But protesting something that actually benefits the people in question is going a little far.

Web Of Death. He never said, "So all this time I've been fighting a mere boy?" He just went with it & got to work on a cure.
In fact, he did say something about having unmasked "a much younger Peter Parker", but he didn't freak out about it.

yes, because some people are simply b!t(hes... its what they do. its like the mothers who protested disney because Ellen outted herself on her sitcom, yet ironically... she now has the highest ratings on her own talk show.... and the evil priest (so i call him) who protested and rallied at mathew shepard's funeral and did the same in nyc for 9/11. some people are just *******s, plane and simple.

and then he lost his memory again.. lol. truth is the guys crazy so... neither one of us could ever prove anything due to his unpredictableness...

You remind me of something I heard Wanda Sykes say in a routine the other day; she was saying how it makes no sense that some people oppose gay marriage when they, as straight people, are unaffected by it.

I guess. But I've always felt there was some sort of method to his madness. He's not the Joker or Carnage.

I don't think they see it that way.
course they don't... but im sure deep down it's partially true... that and they think religion invinted marriage

well ya he has a method.. like norman does.. but both snap... and both at times can be very calm and rational and at other time insane, out of control, and unpredictable
