Whereas an Octopus man and a green goblin with purple outfitting are the height of sophistication?
Yes, exactly.
The octopus man and the green goblin are like a grown man made them up for 13 year olds to read about.
Venom is like a 13 year old made him up.
It's comicbook insecurity. When comics went all "dark" and "EXTREME", that's when I quit.

I'd much rather watch a Super Friends cartoon than a Spawn cartoon.
See my drift?

Sometines I can understand you

Whoa. Mister J has certainly pulled ahead...

Gotta go with the Joker. I love Venom, and it will be really interesting to see him on the big screen for the first time, but it all comes down to the actors. I like Heath Ledger and I like Topher Grace, but I can see Ledger as the Joker easier than I can see Grace as Eddie Brock. Still, I'm eagerly awaiting both films.

:joker: The Joker has a much bigger legacy than Venom.

So true, but even disregarding that, he'll just be so much more fun to watch on screen than Venom.

Don't get me wrong...Venom'll make for some great action, but it's the mother ****ing Joker here we're talking about. There's no contest.

I have the same thoughts you do. I love Venom, but The Joker is the greatest villian, out of any comic book, period.

What a shame they can't just get the guy from 1928's "The Man Who Laughs".

The Joker for i can't wait to see Nolans darker spin on the Joker. Venom well is just not for me as interesting as The Joker.

Yes, I'll enjoy not seeing a Joker wiggling his fat, over-the-hill ass to a limp Prince song during an interminable parade scene.

Nah. Now you get to see Joker dressed as a cowboy experimenting with his sexuality :csad:

I think both characters are vastly overrated. There's nothing, absolutely nothing the Joker can give visually or psychologically that I haven't seen or experienced before in other movies. I get bored just thinking about him.

At the same time I've never been a fan of Venom either. He's just the darker side of Spider-man...same damn powers and everything. I think it'll make their fight (assuming they have a fight) a very boring one. I'm looking forward to seeing the character of Eddie Brock on screen. Once he becomes Venom I'll most likely lose interest.

I like this thread! I'll say the Joker, he is my favorite villain and I only want to see Venom because of the cool visuals.

Wasn't in love with BB though. (8 out of 10) So not looking forward to the film as much as Spidey 3 but diffenately want to see how they handle the Joker.

It's Mista J... I loved SPiderman... I loved SPiderman 2 even more... but TDK > Spiderman three... its just a fact...

No it's not:confused:

All Hail the Clown Prince of Crime he reigns supreme along with Batman over that Spidey Fellow. Actually I'm kidding I want to see both Movies Venom will look great on screen but I am more antispating the Joker back on the big Screen.
