Only reason I prefer DC movies over Marvel is because they´re not exactly targeted toward the younger audience. Catwoman and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen have been the worst by DC, but A History of Violence, Road to Perdition, V for Vendetta, Batman Begins, Superman Returns, Constantine and The Fountain have all either been good, average or mediocre.

Agreed, in terms of quality, DC movies have been well ahead since Spiderman 2 IMO.

I agree. Even though I've enjoyed most of Marvel's recent films, I believe that many have been lacking in quality and, in my opinion, simply cannot be compared to comic book movies such as Superman: The Movie or X2: X-Men United, in terms of overall quality. Also, I don't feel that DC are simply churning out movies based on their characters as much as Marvel seem to.

X2 is a Marvel film.

Agreed, it seems Marvel is just trying to rush everything out, but in fairness, it seems DC have adopted that approach just recently as well.

The Reb Brown Captain America TV movies were the most disappointing to me. It was set totally modern day (he had nothing to do with WWII), he wore a motorcycle helmet, his stripes made a "V" from his shoulders to his waist instead of encirceling his body, and the sections of his shield that are supposed to be white were clear.

Yes, I know it's a Marvel film. I was trying to say that, in my opinion, Marvel's recent films can't compare in quality to films such as Superman: The Movie, Batman (1989), Spider-Man 2 and X2: X-Men United, which I think are all exceptionally well made movies and are films that I consider to be the benchmark for other comic book films. :)

I thought you loved Spider-Man 3. :csad:

I love Spider-Man 3, you know that, I'm watching it as I type this. :D

The four films that I consider to be a benchmark are not necessarily my favourite comic book films, they are comic book films that I consider to be the best made overall, in terms of quality and excellence. Every time I watch Superman: The Movie, I can't help but be impressed by the sheer scale of Richard Donner's magnificent film. It's not my absolute favourite comic book film ever, but it sure is exceptionally well made.

I may just prefer Spider-Man 3 to Spider-Man 2 (I still haven't decided yet :p) but I consider Spider-Man 2 to be the better made film. :venom:

I hope this makes sense. :O

Eh, I can dig it. :woot:

FF: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Yes, the first film was terrible but this time we would get one of the biggest stories in Marvel history with the introduction of Silver Surfer and Galactus. The first film had a lot of criticism so surely the filmmakers would recognize what worked and what didn't and the results would be a kickass sequel, right? There is simply no excuse for it being the worst blockbuster of the summer and for the filmmakers to make the exact same mistakes they made the first time.

To be fair, i think once again Fox were more at fault than the film-makers for what we got.

1 word, actually 2, but there is a hyphen, Man-Thing.
Man-thing is a great character and I enjoy his stories, the movie made my eyes bleed and shoot chunks across the room.

X-Men: The Last Stand
Blade: Trinity
Fantastic Four '05

I found Spider-man 3 to be the most disappointing.

It wasn't that true to the comics, and had way too much camp.

I voted for Invincible Iron Man, while not a bad animated movie, as a fan of Iron Man it didn't live up to it's potential, the hype was made up to be Iron Man vs. Mandarin and it didn't happen, so that's why that one got my vote.
Other Marvel films that were disappointing to me, Daredevil and Elektra both were aweful, I've never seen Fantastic Four or Fantastic 4 2, just not a fan.

X3 and Man-Thing are very very bad...

i thought punisher with dolph lundrend was sick, it was just really dark haha how punisher should be

Voted for Blade trinity but should have picked spiderman 3 or X-men 3.
