Yeah, like I said, a bit cliche, but it would be funny to see people freak out about Mysterio being in the movie, and then its like, "Oh, wait..."Idiotic Idiot06 said:That would remind me wayyyy too much of Austin Powers 3. Nice idea though.

Or does it?farmerfran said:The new trailer doesn't come for another 3 weeks, C.A.H.
christpunchers said:Doubt this would happen. Would you really want mysterio to be played by the same guy who named Spider-man? I mean, it would be a funny cameo but in the long run it's going to take away some of the seriousness of the series. Mysterio could be used in future films, and be played by a top notch actor, not a villian to be written off as comedy.

christpunchers said:I think mysterio could be tweaked to some degree into a serious and dark character, who is able to light up the FX in future SM films, in ways that other villians may not be able to. As much "fun" as it would be to see Bruce play him in a cameo, i think it would be a gesture of disrespect for older classic villians if they were to put him down that way, as a joke character. Sure his head is a fishbowl but you could make jokes about all the other villians too. A gaint lizard who cant control his rage, old man flying with wings, crazy zoo keeper that goes around jumping off rooftops, etc etc.
christpunchers said:Different folks, different strokes. I think most of SM's villians are pretty silly, even the great ole sandman, who looks ridiculous if you think about it, a guy in a green stripped shirt running away turning into a bucket of sand. I guess for the time that these guys were created, silly looking villians were considered the norm'. But I always thought of mysterio as a cool character, as he is one of the few villians who isnt a mutant of some sort, but instead, chose to be who he is, due to whatever event that scarred him earlier in life.
Spider-Kurt! said:I hope to God it is true because if you look in the sequel thread, you'll see that I had the very same idea for a movie with Mysterio as the main villian. I'd chalk it right up there with my Sandman in Spider-Man 3 prediction that people scoffed at too!
