Movies We Like That Aren't Highly Regarded

See, that alone does not mean it's a good or bad movie. It is close to the storyline of the comics, but for my money, goes no way near capturing the atmosphere or sense of unstoppable imagination and fun in the comics. Something like Back to the Future is exactly the type of movie FF should have been.

It is a terrible movie, The acting is horrible, no one has any persaonlity expect for Johnny Storm,The dialogue is worse than the acting, the action wasn't excatly groungbreaking and jessica alba still gives her usual flat performance.

For all you 13-18 year old kids who post here, you should check out 3 o'clock high. Good teen high school movie where the baddest bully challenges a dorky kid to fight after school. Pretty funny moments of how that kid tries to escape from school all day long and the things he does to get out of the fight. I saw it when I was an young kid and still love it to this day. Buddy Revell still scares me. :wow:

Saw it when it came out :P I agree though, every teenager who goes to high school should sit through this.

Basically, any movies you enjoy watching that are commonly thought of as being crappy. Guilty pleasures and the like.

I'll start:

Godfather part III What can I say...not the best of the three, but I still dig it. I like the Michael/Vincent relationship.

Fantastic Four It's pretty damn close to the comics other than Doom's origin. It has it's problems but, it leaves you wanting more which is better than if it were crammed with s*** you don't want to see. (ie: 50% of SM3)

Oh, and if you're going to give somebody s*** for liking a movie, you'd better be prepared to put yourself out there too. I want to see people admitting their guilty pleasure before they start panning others.
As for the FF, it's good but they messed up Doom and Alicia. She is white with red hair, that changing of races is so stupid and wrong, I wanna' see the character come to life, enough of the affirmative action b.s.!

As for the movies I like that weren't blockbusters...

The Shadow, Titan A.E., and Batman and Robin is my big guilty pleasure, but I love the opening sequence, if it weren't for Bane and Ivy it would've been a bit better, oh and No Batgirl.

A very Brady Sequel - I liked it more than the original

IdleWild

Daredevil-the director's cut provided more character development IMO.

Starman-probably one of the very few Sci-Fi/Love stories I will watch multiple times(I'm not a big fan of Sci-Fi movies or Love Stories) with it's cheesy musical score.

Rocky III-not sure if this was highly regarded or not, but it's one of my favorite 'come back' stories of all time. I just love when Rocky tears into Clubber Lang in their rematch. And the line before the rematch?:

Lang: "I'm gonna bust you up."

Rocky: "Go for it."

Classic.

Hellboy

I think its one of the best comic book movies ever. I find it a lot more enjoyable than the X Men movies and stuff like that.

A definite hell yes for these three.

Arnold kills like a hundred south american rebels at the end by himself, it's awesome. Also, he says "I'll be back" at one point just because.

I've got a soft spot for Phantom.

Demolition Man is actually a lot more creative once you give it a few views. They could've really taken the easy way out with a lot of s***. Taco Bell=fine dining! :wow:

Yeah, not a huge fan of Doom. I like the fact that the Rock was an antagonist. Not the obvious choice.

Swordfish isn't that bad. Jackman's performance saves it for me, and then of course there's the scene...

Army is one of my favorite movies ever.

Well obviously it's obviously this one :

Hells yes.

I would add RoboCop, The Number 23, and Top Gun (considered "rotten" at rottentomatoes.com--pfft! B.S.)
