Movies We Like That Aren't Highly Regarded

Well obviously it's obviously this one :

I always wondered how she was going to survive that daring leap... :wow: I mean, great, you might be able to escape the agent but then... splat.

Ummm...aerial acrobatics?

Yeah she would be pretty boned there.

"Rage...taking over..."
-"Yes, we've heard it all before."
"No....REALLY taking over..."

:D

"Why am I doing this?"
"When you can balance a tackhammer on your head, you will come at your opponent with a balanced attack."
"Then why am I wearing the watermelon on my feet?"
*stares down*
"I don't remember telling you to do that."

I have no idea why there's so much hate for this film on the internet. Ok, the little girl is annoying, but besides that it's pure bliss.

^I can't see the picture, but I know you are talking about The Lost World: Jurassic Park. I actually really love that movie. When I was younger, it was one of my favorite movies. To some degree, I still favor it over the original.

JP's a little ahead of this one for me. And Yeah life was great before internet hype... I honestly think if this movie came out now we'd have huge threads same as we do now with people bickering about it. Oh well, sweet dinosaur movie...

The story for the movie sucked. If you watch it on mute, it is not that bad. With dialogue, horrible. Nothing more than eye candy (at least to me).

Now, I always thought people were a little hard on the Matrix sequels. Reloaded was good (though flawed), and Revolutions was better. The Smith vs. Neo battle is wonderful in both action and banter. Very underrated movies.

Agreed.
I always thought that iNGEN was cool, too. :o
Roland was a badass motherf***er, though.

Neo vs. Smith in Reloaded was really good.
Neo vs. Smith in Revolutions was very bland and anti-climatic.

One thing about the sequels that I admire is that because of them, I regard Agent Smith has one of my favorite villains of all-time.

The one in Reloaded was great, also. I just liked the one in Revolutions more.

And yes, Smith is great in these movies. He is the best part about them.

RoboCop is highly regarded
Not after 2 and 3, its hideous cartoons and terrible video games it's not.

Pirates 2. If you go into the movie knowing it's art 2 of a 3-part "saga," (though admittedly jury-rigged to be so), it's highly entertaining. Popcorn flick, nothing wrong with that.

Robocop is highly regarded. It got a Criterion release on dvd. The sequels, however, are not.

Hellboy

I think its one of the best comic book movies ever. I find it a lot more enjoyable than the X Men movies and stuff like that.
Oh HELL YEA, right on - I definitely agree!! Hellboy IS one of the best comic book movies ever.

I also love... Hackers, Matrix 3, Superman Returns, Fifth Element, Starship Troopers, and plenty of others... :)

And I really want to see The Rocketeer, haha.
