I thought Just Friends was gonna' suck, but I was almost on the floor laughing.

Just like, around the same time The Ringer was coming out on dvd so was Grandma's Boy, GB came out first, and I thought I was going to like the Ringer more, and it turned out the other way 'round.

GB is a really good movie and was way better than the Ringer.

Wayne´s World. Laughed my butt off - it became actually kind of a special movie to me, it was the first thing that cheered me up after a bad break-up. I also didn´t think I was going to like the director´s cut of DD as much as I did, given I was so disappointed with the theatrical version - BURN IN HELL, TOM ROTHMAN!!

When I was attempting to watch all 100 of AFI 100 greatest movies, there were several I didn't look forward to watching but when I did they immediately became some of my all time favorite movies. The Graduate, Singin' In the Rain and The Apartment all come to mind.

Road Trip ... laughed my ass off

Pride and Pejudice.

Uh
I feel my masculinity slipping away for admitting that...

Since Mean Girls is already taken I'll go with. . .

Best Pauly Shore movie EVER! :D

I normally don't watch movies I don't expect to like but

Matchstick Men
Butterfly Effect

I saw Shawshank Redemption on video way before they played every night on TNT.

Someone rented it, I didn't know what it was about and I loved it.

I expected Equilibrium to be some cheap matrix knock off. It's now one of my favorite movies of all time.

Legally Blonde. I saw a poster for it before the trailers come out, and I was ready to declare it the movie that ended Reese Witherspoon's career.

Barnyard. The animation looked awful in the trailers but the story was actually entertaining. Even had a heartfelt message to it.

And Hoodwinked. Once again, animation sucked, but it was funny and a very interesting take on the Little Red Ridding Hood story.

I though Ryan Reynolds and Anna Farris' "Just Friends" would be another soppy love story movie. It was actually hilarious! Anna Farris' character steals the show!

Please! Ryan owned that movie by scene 1:

"I SWEAR! BY THE MOON AND THE STARS IN THE SKY..."

:woot:

Deadman on Campus and Payback are two that instantly came to mind.
Harold and Kumar was another, since it was made by the same people that gave us Dude, Where's my Car.
