Um.. he wasn't too bad on that one episode of Married with Children... he was kind of scrappy looking on there though...

He got a fair bit to do on Charmed.

He owned a newspaper, and had a lot of money behind him. He dated Phoebe. They had a troubled relationship, namely because with her empathic powers she could sense what he was feeling. Eventually, when she was possessed by the spirit of Mati Hari, she put him in danger, and nearly got him killed by demons, and that was the end of their relationship and his Charmed career.

He could always be cast as a neutral character just doing things to help his own means to an end. Help the X-men here, and then, (since the forest scene is shortly after the breakout scene of the truck) be obliged to help the Brotherhood so that magneto doesn't have you burnt to a crisp.
