He then remembers the blankets in his space ship and males a 2nd suit from it, its slightly updated from the first one.

Today, I was reminded of James Gunn's comments on the interconnectedness of the DCU across movies, TV, animation, and video games. Considering this, it seems unlikely that he would opt for the Fleischer colors in the movie because it would likely extend to the other mediums and I imagine that they wouldn't want to alter the existing branding that people have already come to recognize.

I wonder if this also applies to the trunks and that he'll go with the "safest" choice and do away with them. But I feel like from what i've seen, trunks have made a comeback.

People thought the same thing when the new 52 suit came out and morphed over his body.

Clarks suit needs to be tangible so you can have moments of Lois waking up in the morning wearing his Supes top.

That cartoon has been in production long before this movie. The only way I'd take it, is if it materialized but become permanently that way. It doesn't just vanish ever again.

I don’t mind the suit being a nano tech one. That doesn’t mean it has to look very futuristic - it can still look like the Superman suits of years gone by - only that it’s not something he manually has to change into every time.

For me, it’s just a plausible and logical conclusion to come to when you’re dealing with a race like Kryptonians who are thousands of years more advanced than humans. The thought of them climbing into a spandex type suit just doesn’t seem apt.

Even here in present day reality there is talk of clothes in the future being nanotech based so that we can alter their colours and style extremely easily - they would also be self cleaning, self repairing, able to monitor vital stats, lower/raise body temp and do lots of other cool things. It’s believable that each human would have a single nano suit which can serve every purpose and occasion.

This show has been in production for nearly 2 years. Gunn was hired not even a year ago with his script largely finished before it even came out.

Honestly just keep the colour profile the same but slightly change the texture so it doesn't just look like it came out of 1978 and it very clearly works wonders, even on a much smaller budget

Like the fact that they could literally just show this suit but with a different symbol and I'd probably not even blink kinda says it all with regards to how you modernise the Superman suit

I still dont understand how we got that good of a suit when...majority of Arrowverse suits/Super suits (esp Tylers OG suit) were so bad.
