The Dark Knight My "out of left field" suggestion for Maroni...

Okay I'm not saying I'm campaigning for him or anything, I just want to throw this idea out there. Robin Williams. He was mentioned for The Joker, and thats obviously not going to happen now. However, I'd like to see Williams in it, hes a good actor, and Maroni is a role he could fit in to. I'm not sure we've ever seen him play a hood before, so it could interesting to see him in that kinda role. He definitely has the acting chops. He doesn't have the looks of the character at all but with Maroni does it matter? I don't think it did with Falcone. The only possible problem is that Williams is on the overweight side, and because hes also white and middle aged he might make people think of Wilkenson as Falcone. Well? Discuss amongst yaselves.

I actually had Chazz Palminteri (Analyze This/That, BronX Tale). Although Ray Liotta is my odds on favorite choice, i dont see him getting it...i could be wrong. Chazz has played some dark mobsters and i could see him fitting into Nolan's Batman film.

Liotta. Can't beat freaking Ray Liotta.

I wish Devito would come back... I was watching "Sunny" yesterday and I still can't get over how tiny this dude is... he ain't that old... I'd love to see Devito in a mobster role for a change... a number of guys out there though for Penguin...

You can't go wrong with him either.


My only fear is casting someone who is famous for a previous role (s) as Mobsters and then the portrayal of Maroni comes across as a...ah what's the word? ... ah for lack of a better word, as fake.
