i'm a total anti-religion skeptic, but part of me hopes there's somthing out there on this planet that hasn't been found and will blow our minds when it as been.

It might be a big lake, but it's still just a lake. I really doubt a big monster could be hiding there. And they have searched the lake over and over again without finding anything. Until I see some proof I don't belive in the Loch Ness-monster. Or any other monsters

They haven't searched too well. The water is murky and hard to see through, you need the best submarine technology, which has only been used minimally because not much of a budget have ever been allocated to research there. 99 percent of it's waters are unexplored, since you can't see a few feet through it.

And of course, that's the kind of circumstance that keeps the legend alive anyway, wether it's real or not.

But to my understanding they already caught a guy who was making footprints and sightings, and sentenced him.

Loch Ness is also a mile deep, and its bottom parts connect to underground tunnels that run out to sea. I think scientists have run a sonar sweep of it too, but that was a long time ago when it wasn't very developed.

IMO it's possible to have a living dinosaur in Loch Ness. Did you guys forget about the coelocanth they discovered off Africa less than 10 years ago?!

I think there might have been a dinosaur there at one point of time, but I don't believe there is anything there now.

No,I like to keep an open mind, but no. If there was the gov't has snaged and dissected it.

Pffft, he's not even a good swimmer  :down

I went to the Loch once, stood out all night.Did not see anything, but i belive that a creature exists there.

No, it's not real. And I'm sick of the stupid tourists saying they saw him

oh, Its real

This one time, there was a knock on the door. I open it, and there's this cute little girl scout and she was so adorable, with the little pig tails and all. She says to me, "How would you like to buy some cookies?" And I said "Well, what kind do you have?" She had thin mints, graham crunchy things, Raisin oatmeal. And I said "We'll take a graham crunch. How much will that be?" And she looks at me and she says, "…Uh I need about tree-fitty." Well, it was about that time that I notice that girl scout was about eight stories tall and was a crustacean from the protozoic era.......The Loch Ness Monster. I said, "Dammit monster! Get off my lawn! I ain't giving you no tree-fitty!" It said, "how about just two-fitty?" I said, "Oh, now it's only two-fitty!! and I said, What?! Is there a sale on Loch Ness munchies or something?!"

Succubus' are more believable than the goddamn Loch Ness Monster

It is a load of BS. We use all these high tech radars and such, and we find nothing!

Well, Loch Ness is quite large. I beleive several thousand feet deep near the middle, and very very wide. Pluss, it's got all sorts of caves and tunnles that something could live in and go undetected. Recently, scientists discovered an old (and quite large) viking ship that's been there for centuries, and yet our radar didn't find it until now.

Ugh. The results of this poll makes me re-evaluate the idea that humans are "rational beings".

i for one hate humans, thats why i want to go back to pluto, but.... my ship is busted and i need mulah :p

Yes, the are real. And so are Fairies and Yetis.

What is your opinion on extraterrestrial abductions of humans, or mutilations of cattle? And remember, regardless of what you think, always be open to reevaluation under empirical evidence.

Exactly you should be open to reevaluation on things such as these. I do believe that there is something in the Loch Ness and in Lake Champlain. Whether or not they are plesiosaurs is up for debate. They could very well be undiscovered animals or discovered animals that people mistook for something else. All Im saying is there is no solid proof for their existance or to disprove it either. As for cattle mutilation. Im not a big UFO believer but something did happen to those cows and it's worth finding out what. I don't think it was aliens but I can't say for sure. The whole reason I created this poll was just to see what others thought or if they were convined either way.

It wouldn't be a dinosaur...

By the definition of dinosaur, any ancient flying or mostly sea-based beast was not a dinosaur at all... They had a different classification.

It was real...yes was, I have a feeling that the loch ness monster has passed away a while ago.The people who "claimed" they saw it are most likely lying and just want some attention.I definetly think it existed recently because many people have claimed to see so called dinos living in various parts of the world...They are big, and they have changed but they still may be around, maybe the asteroid didnt cause the extininction of all dinos and maybe not all dinos evolved into the common creatures we see today
