The problem I've been seeing with most of the serious titles is that they are trying to follow the Batman <verb/any word> idea of Batman Begins, but they are using any verb they can think of. The title Batman Begins, while a verb, is telling something essentially about Batman himself. Batman: Escalation doesn't do that at all. That, at best, describes that state of Gotham, but not Batman.
The title should continue to describe something about Batman. Batman: Haunted Knight would, I think, work for the 3rd film if he is "haunted" about what has happened to Dent, his former ally and friend. Dark Victory would also work their seeing as how the victory to bring down his former friend wouldn't be the happiest moment of his life. But neither of these, IMO, are good for BB2.
The title for BB2 should either focus more on how batman is adapting at becoming Batman, or should be about what he will be doing in this movie i.e. war on crime. If we can find a word or two describing what we think Batman will actually be doing in the next film as opposed to using random "cool" verbs, I think we will have much better titles.
Batman: Prep Time is awesome by the way.
