Holy crap. lol Yeah, people tend to draw Captain Marvel and Superman asian at times.

Captain Marvel doesn't really look asian to me in that pic. Is it because he squints his eyes? Is Bud Spencer an asian as well?

It doesn't stand to any reason why Namor would look Asian. His father is Irish or Scottish-American and one would think that Atlanteans would resemble people from a continent bordering THE ATLANTIC OCEAN, IE not Asia. So the fact that some artists are geographic ******s shouldn't effect the casting.

Maybe Atlanteans could have a Native American look, although that still would be kind of tricky math if you would have to say that Atlantis was established AFTER Asiatic people crossed over the land bridge and all of the Americas.

It's just easiest to make Atlanteans look some combination of Western European, mediterranean or West African.

Namor is one of my Favorite charcters.He should be muscular,imposing,nobel,and arrogant.I like the way Ultimate Namor looks and played up as the most powerful meta-human in ult.marvel universe,until they turn him into a ciminal ass,he should be royality...even if he is the last atlantian.but I have two choices for Namor.....

I think Paul Walker could be great as Namor. I don't know if anyone suggested him but I think he should be considered for the role. I think he has the charm and the looks to pull it off. I know people would argue about his acting, but he did major in marine biology, he basically lives in the ocean when he is not filming, and plus, he has never been nominated for Razzie.

Yeah they both would work. Eddie Cibrian as well. Urban as Thor? so many keep saying it, but I've never seen Urban as a blonde.

If I were casting an older Namor, closer to his portrayal in 616, I'd probably go with Hugo Weaving. But there's definitely no denying that Billy Zane is the spitting image of Ultimate Namor.

I can think of one attribute that an actor needs in order to portray Namor - cheekbones so sharp they can cut glass (seriously, I'm not joking!)

So that rules out Urban, Boreneaz and Butler imo.

Ian Somerhalder is perfect facially and can certainly act, but he'd have to bulk up significantly to be a convincing Avenging Son.

Ok forget any wrestlers for this role. Give me a break. This is the lead role in a huge franchise of at least 3 films which in scope will be on scale with something like Lord of the Rings. The last thing we need is some steroid non-acting goof from professional wrestling (LOL at Professional) to take this franchise over. Even the talk of The Rock doing this makes me sick. He's a personality...not an actor. Also some people tend to remember actors in their prime when they were younger and suggest casting them for the role. Many who have not aged well.

I guess he's a capable actor, but man, he's going to need to hire a trainer and hit the gym, ASAP, if he's going to try and pull off Namor's physique...
