NBC's ''Timeless''

Which episode are we up to now? How many left to go?

I hope Lucy finds out that her father is the same guy who has been menacing Rufus and that he works for Rittenhouse. Why don't the team ever discuss and share their information? Maybe if Rufus actually described the guy he met, Lucy would find the description extremely familiar.

80s tonight, y'all.

oops, that didn't work out so well eh?

I feel bad for Wyatt. Having said that, he is a bit of an idiot. He just took the word of a confessed killer and the word of Flynn, another killer. He never should have run off half cocked assuming that both Flynn and the killer were telling the truth.

And Im not sure what to make of that end scene. Her dad acting like him and Lucy were just gonna sit down and catch up is so so weird. There is a giant piece of this puzzle that is still missing.

this was easily one of my fave episodes, i loved how Rufus was geeking out about being in the 80s.

Wonder if Flynn's intention was to save the one of the 2 women who did survive because of Wyatt's action. Next time Wyatt should just take the damn machine back to the night of his wife's murder. The hell with the law of physics or whatever the ****.

On the bright side, if he breaks reality and the universe is destroyed he doesnt have to worry about his wife anymore... or anything else.:funny:

Way too convienent how he kept getting prevented from keeping them apart until time/physics/whatever said screw it and outright killed the dude. And even then it did not save his wife.

I knew Wyatt wouldn't save his wife as it's obvious something will happen with him and Lucy, but his desperation was palpable when he returned and found out he'd failed. :csad:

If Lucy is part of Rittenhouse, has she descended from the line? Is her father part of it? Would Flynn killing Rittenhouse's son before have wiped out Lucy from existence?

And is she going to tell Rufus that it is her father who has been threatening him?

I knew Wyatt wouldn't be able to save his wife.

And what was the actual explosion? Did Flynn just blow up the building where the mothership is normally housed?

If Rittenhouse plan to use the Mothership (or the Lifeboat) to go back and rewrite history, I wonder if this is what prompts Lucy to begin to keep a journal.

And with Wyatt possibly off the team now, and Rufus also in trouble, how will the adventures proceed? Will Rittenhouse demand a different soldier in the field? Or a different pilot? Is Jiya even ready? Or will Rittenhouse put Rufus under even more duress by carrying out the actual threats to his family?

On that note, did Rittenhouse select these three very deliberately because they thought they could pull their strings? With Lucy, there are her own ties to Benjamin Cahill of Rittenhouse, and maybe with Wyatt they were the ones behind his wife's death. Maybe they thought they could eventually get them to do their own bidding and change history in their favour?

And what do people think will happen by the end of the season? Will the time team join forces with Flynn in the mothership, chasing after a different team from Rittenhouse who will use the lifeboat to rewrite history?

By far my favorite ep of the series. I'm an 80's baby myself, so it was pure nostalgia. Felt like a darker version of Back to The Future.

Every time they talk about Wyatts wife's killer, they make a point of noting that the killer was never caught, which pretty much tells us he/she was a time traveler.

I think either:

1) Flynn goes back in time and kills Wyatts wife, knowing he would try to go back and save her, get thrown off the team, and then is able to recruit him to stop Rittenhouse…or,

2)The future Wyatt, who is now on Flynn's team, is on a separate mission in the same year/place, and inadvertently kills his own wife.

yeah. i kinda always thought that maybe Flynn gave him the wrong guy, knowing wyatt would go back and try to save her. i thought maybe flynn was secretly getting him to alter some other part of history.
but the guy did turn out to be a killer after all, and the other 2 women were saved. i felt bad for the guy.
as for him and lucy, i can see sparks, but i also see a deep connection and understanding between the two of them. they both lost someone, both desperately want them back. the scene where lucy said it felt like they were saying goodbye felt genuine. it was almost like saying goodbye to a friend, dear friend. they've been through a lot and in a very short time. there aren't many people they can connect with on this level. that bonds them even more

they started to answer part of this. i think rittenhouse may have started as one person, one family, but is probably more like secret society/illuminati-esque. so her dad is probably one of the founding families or something

And is she going to tell Rufus that it is her father who has been threatening him?
she's starting to reveal that to people, so its probably only a matter of time

that's what i think happened. probably rigged it to blow after he killed anthony and after they left. i can't remember if he knows that they are aware of the other pilot. i can't remember her name (from 1800s)

Wait, since they prevented the serial killer from being born how did Lucy know about him when they got back? When they travel to the past and change something, the people that remain in the present are unaware of the change because, to them, it's just how it is. Just like in the Ian Fleming ep; when they returned, there was a whole new James Bond movie add to the series based on their adventures that was common knowledge to everyone that remained in the present but new to them...so based on that logic, only Wyatt and Rufus should know about the serial killer, prison visit, etc..

Woah! I'd never considered that, great theory. I also dug the ep being set in the 80's, a bit of Miami Vice with that suit Rufus was sporting. :D

I thought Flynn might have an ulterior motive as well and if Golgo's theory is right there may be as somehow they have to explain who the guy dying didn't save Wyatt's wife. Interesting points on Wyatt and Lucy, their relationship has been nicely developed and well acted.

What if Flynn killed Wyatt's wife because she was part of Rittenhouse?

I did think though that Flynn gave Wyatt that information before to serve his own purposes and get him to unwittingly do his bidding. Maybe Flynn has already tried something in the 80s with that couple but was unsuccessful, so he couldn't go back there and needed someone else to do it. That person would be Wyatt.

I like the fact the 4 have broken away on their own, it's a good set up for season 2.

Next weeks looks great. :D

So Lucy finally has her journal, given to her by her mother. Is she going to record her trips in the same way or do something differently? Can she even change history that way?

I wanted to point out that having Susannah Thompson as her mother is great casting. They actually look like they could be mother and daughter, as there is a resemblance between the two, more than Thompson looked like Oliver Queen's mother.

How can the time team operate by themselves now without Mason industries? How can they permanently steal the Lifeboat? They need a fuel source too.

And it's not like Wyatt could come back to work for Mason industries and go on the trips anymore unless he is granted a pardon, and all of them pretend to just be going about business as usual like before.

Will they join forces with Flynn at any point, perhaps by the season's end?

And why doesn't Flynn want to eliminate Lucy since she is from the Rittenhouse line and it is in her blood?

I hope there is a next season. Maybe they might change it up that it is Mason industries/ Rittenhouse chasing after the Time Team next season instead of them chasing after Flynn. So it could be a sort of three-way chase, with the time team after Flynn but also trying to evade capture from Rittenhouse.

she should just write "**** you Flynn" over an over again on every single page lol to see if his copy changes
