need to vent?

My ex boyfriend and I raised two little kittens together. When we adopted them they both had upper respiratory infections. They were brothers, all black. Within two weeks, Orion, the smaller weaker one had passed away. I had never met a friendlier little kitten. He was like a gift from god for the two weeks we had him :(

I am getting a black kitten in his honor really and naming him "Little Foot". I've already got a stockpile of kitten supplies.

I love kittens. Spoons and I are getting those instead of having children

My cat looks EXACTLY the same.

Are you serious? Thats weird! My gf has a cat what looks like the adult version of my kitten that went missing.

That sounds horrible. :(

My kitten was really friendly too. He would rubs his face off me for hours just to wake me up and play with him.

I'm buying a new kitten soon. We still have two cats but the ginger cat is feeling lonely now.

Sorry for your pet losses. :csad:

so yeah, i just got back from visiting my grandfather. he was sleepy but he was still being a smart ass which was great to hear. and i've managed to not fight with anyone else. well, except the person i was previously fighting with. but that's neverending. :o

I had a green iguana with the very same name once...

I'll be venting about the stress of being a high school senior, what with graduation, scholarships, a massive research paper, and senioritis setting in...summer can't get here quick enough. :csad:

Today, I was browsing ellusionist.com and I saw a mini pack of Bicycle cards. I really want them. The sweetass Ghost deck is only $3.99, and some blue backed ones are like, a few cents cheaper. I want to order. But shipping is like, $20. And I don't wanna blow that much on shippiiiing. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :csad:

I need to vent. Nothing too horrible, but a situation that I'm currently involved in at the moment.

Here's the situation I'm in:

Just recently I started working at this movie theater for which I've been there for a month now. I work with this girl named Amanda and eventually started talking to her, joking with her, and becoming fond of her with each passing day.

Later on I began having a crush on her and the crush got strong with each day, you know? I found out from my co-workers that she is single which gave me the chance to ask her out. I asked her "How about one night, you and me go to IHOP? I'll pay for everything."

She blushed, smiled, and said "Okay." From then on I thought we would eventually become more than friends with time. Fast forward to when we were going to see a movie(we get free movies since we work there) and out of nowhere she asks "This is just on friendly terms right?" I was shocked at first, but I told her yes that it was on friendly terms even though I was hurt by her question.

I spoke with her that past weekend, explained that I understood she wanted to be friends and I accepted that.

I moved on, cut my hair, cut off my beard, and decided to start clean slate with my life. Ever since I've moved on she's been acting real *****y, defensive, cold, and distant with me. Keep in mind that she wasn't acting this way when I had a crush on her and still was chasing her before, but now that I've moved on she wants to catch an attitude with me for some unknown reasons.

What do you think? Could she be angry at the fact that I'm not chasing her anymore?

Or maybe I caught her in during her time of the month? I don't know, but I know that I didn't do anything to deserve being treated like manure.

She either wanted you to come forward with your feelings when she asked you or she a b**ch... either way I say forget about her. One the one hand you don't want to get involved with a girl that plays games to get information rather than being straightforward. That usually leads to hiding things, which leads to lying and that's no good. On the other hand, if she's a b**ch... then well, she's probably a tiger in the sack so... there you go...

Dude you asked her on a date to IHOP?!?! And you're suprised she thought it was a just friends thing? Have you been acting differently towards her since your clean slate? No more romantic dinners at IHOP or watching free movies together? I could understand if she's being b*tchy to you if you completely changed your attitude toward her after the two of you clarified your status.

IHOP is very fancy. It is the International House of Pancakes. It isn't like he took her to a Waffle House. I mean come on, do you honestly believe that any one can go and order a Rooty-Tooty-Fresh and Fruity and come away not thinking it was a date?

Ask jaguarr about dating people from work, it'll scare your socks off.

To be honest, no I haven't been acting differently. She wanted to be friends and I continued to be nice to her. It wasn't until Sunday night, Monday, and Tuesday that I began to notice her defensive attitude towards me. I did give her my word that I would take her to IHOP(this is when I had a crush on her), yet since she's been acting this way towards me, I haven't even mentioned it to her and I am not going to.

I'm 25 years old, she's 22 years old. I'm not into the whole High School mind games. I'm too old for that and I'm not getting any younger, so if she wants to play games then that's her issue.

As I said, she wasn't acting this way when I had a crush on her, even after she said the whole "friends thing" I was still trying to change her mind to an extent and didn't move on. I cut off all my hair, shaved my Lemmy beard off, and started a clean slate with my life that didn't include stupid drama or stress you know?

It just seems to me that she's upset that I moved on with my life and she expects me to chase her. I look at her rejection in this way now, the fact that she said no saved me $30-$40 dollars for an IHOP dinner. So in hindsight I should be thanking her, since I'm not an ******* I won't do that. :yay:

I'm very happy right now though, I just wanted to get that off of my mind and see what others thought of the situation. My mom, my ex girlfriend, and a couple of other friends of mine suggested that I cut her off completely and just ignore her altogether when I go to work tomorrow, and I intend on doing that too.

I realize that my message board persona can be confrontational, rude, harsh, and very firey when my buttons are pushed. Outside of this forum I am a very easy going, intelligent, nice, respectful, confident, and realistic young man who doesn't get angry very often but when I do it's usually because people push me the wrong way. I would never, ever treat any girl differently or be a prick towards her because she wanted to be friends. It's not in my nature to do that since I wouldn't want that done to me or any of my friends.

As I said, I don't know if I caught her on bad days or if she's just pissed at me for moving on.

Sunrise, it sounds like this girl just enjoys being chased, and she's playing games. Not cool. Move on and find someone new to date! :)

The second she said "This is just on friendly terms right?" you know she was alll trouble, I mean who the hell says that. She should have enjoyed the date and see where it have went.

On a side note I work in the cinema too, but our free tickets are suspended due to some ass**** stealing ****. Now preview of Spider-Man 3 :(

She probably either wanted you to fess up your feelings because she was too afraid to or she didn't realize she had feelings for you until you moved on and now she doesn't know how to act around you.

Glad to hear the positive news about your grandfather

Thanks. :yay:
