Superman Returns New interview with Singer and Routh... 'Casting Superman'

Hmm, no reason really, I think you're hypocritical. And you got on Showtimes case for no reason, and hes a good friend, just thought I would say he was wrongfully accused with leslie nelson. Other than that, I really don't have a lot to do, and my debating skills are horrible compared to yours and Showtimes, so I thought I would work on that some as well :)

So you saw an injustice in your eyes, and you wanted to support Showtimes. I saw a bunch of people getting on Whack's case, Showtime misrepresented Whack by claiming Whack thought Routh was a ***** for having a headache, and I clarified what Whacked meant.

Showtimes got offended, boo hoo. Fatboy showed up for some vain attempt at glory as the self appointed slayer of Oldguy.

Our positions aren't really that different. Don't let Fatboy or Showtimes fool you, I'm not out for the "glory" of reputation that these guys crave. I'm not here to reclaim postitions, or hold clinics like these two. I see aspects of SR in pre-production, and I feel the need to express myself just like anyone else, simple as that.

Nope.

Cute though. With the attempt to cast people as what you need them to be in order to secure the upper hand in this meaningless argument. But it falls apart the instant you realize that using "Oldguy" as a means to attaining "glory" is a conceit only someone as self-involved and hung up on themselves as "Oldguy" would consider even remotely plausible. :)

I'm just helpin people out here. :)

How did you know about my clinic?

Fatboy Roberts said:
That's my clinic. Stop attaining my glory.

Well I was quite upset by Oldguy's retorts. I was just searching for some glory, now I have nothing.

I have a target on my back. It's not a big bright red target, more of a darker red. It's a different shade than the classic target, but a traditional target nonetheless.

And what size is this target. Is it the normal billboard size or did they have to size it down a bit because it was 3-D.

It is smaller, but it's not any smaller than other Targets from days gone by.

I apologize then to you sir, I did not realize Whack was getting trampled upon in such a way. Its good to see still, through all this that you stand on firm ground. I definately respect that very much. While our opinions do differ, I will try not to step on anyone elses opinion on this board from now on. You have opened my eyes with this most recent statement and I have seen the error of my ways. I will certainly choose my words differently from now on and keep respect for each and every opinion on this board, with your blessing of course. :)

I am shocked at this, I can't believe you have turned against GAM. Don't you know that GAM controls the boards and that GAM is all mighty! How can you mock such a fine institution. We love Routh and we love Singer. Everybody else needs to as well. You can't have any bad opinions about the movie, Singer, or Routh. GAM GAM GAM GAM GAM GAM

Kneel before us, blah, blah, blah! :ghost:

awww. well, okay, just this once, you can have some glory from Oldguy's existence. He'll just regenerate more, he's a glorious kind of guy. It's not every day you topple such a fair-minded, even-handed, simple, pure, self-righteous guy who just likes to talk and give opinions simply and purely. So when you do, you've gotta get all the glory from it that you can. But don't expect people to spoonfeed you the glory, kid. You've gotta earn it.

I haven't turned against anyone Showtime. :) After what OldGuy said I realized that I did say the wrong thing earlier, in ways trying to force my opnion on him. My opinions are right along the lines of the GAM and its members. I will just "hold my tounge" so to speak in stating my own opinions. Thats why the new philosophy of teh Uncle SAM is "opinion is everything". I am enlightened now.

People that liked Routh right off the bat, because he was lean, graceful like a swimmer have a valid opinion because there's a reason why they have their opinion. People that dislike Routh's appearance, because Superman is a pugilist and strongman, have a valid opinion because it has a reason behind it.

People that like Routh because he's the lead in the new movie from WB, or the people who didn't like Routh, but have learned to assimilate to what is inevitable don't have valid opinions. They are just doing as they are told. The only way they can feel remorseless about their assimilation, is by silencing dissention. It's quite a nasty bit of sociology, isn't it?

I have to say I agree with these points completely, 125%.

Opinions are formed by comparing a new stimulus to your previous experience and bias and formulating a judgement. The previous experience and bias does not necessarily have to be connected directly to the new stimulus. For instance, some people may like Routh's look because his appearance reminds them of a father or other role model they admire. This opinion would not be based on their prior experience or knowledge of Superman, but it would be a valid opinion. Others may have a preference for body type displayed by Routh, as not being comically over-muscled or what have you.

Still others may form their opinion based on a strict representation of their favorite version of Superman in the comics, television, or film, or any combination thereof, overriding any other experience or bias. This is also a valid opinion.

Conformity is not an opinion. It is a psychological act of acceptance for its own sake, and some of the many reasons for conformity are to either placate external egos or satisfy a lack of ego in the conformist. While conformity cannot be qualified as "good" or "bad" (patriotism is an act of conformity, and can go either way), it is not the formulation of an opinion.

ROFL, I disagree with the very breath you take/waste, but that was funny.

It is quite massive, you know how much trouble I have with reading.

Have no fear my brothers, Matches' vocabulary is massive enough to shelter us all.

Could his vocabulary make a Hell in the Cell cage from WWE surround my house?

Its one of the many fantasies I've had since childhood.

Building cages out of vocabulary.
