It's pretty anecdotal, but my sense is that the site (At first I misspelled it as "stie" LOL) is running normally more often than before, but it could just be when i pop on. Small sample size and all....

It's been really fast. Just great. No problems. Glad everything is okay. Smooth sailing from now on.

EDIT: It's slow again, but it let me edit my post pretty quickly.

Y'know.....it occurs to me that this could be a hardware issue. Maybe or maybe not in the sense that there's an actual hardware problem, but maybe when they did the update, They moved resources on to a virtual server that's sharing the load or maybe reorganized how resources are prioritized or something like that. I would guess that there isn't a dedicated server so this whole thing could be a sharing problem. It would certainly explain the intermittent lags.

I think the last time it was this slow was the midnight release of the Spider-Man 2 trailer in 2004. I'm acknowledging that I'm being dramatic, but the longer this is prolonged, the more I'm worried this could be the death-knell for these boards.

I worry about the board's collapse as well. Most of my friends have gone. Why stay when at times it takes ten minutes to make a single post?

My guess is that bandwidth resources are being allocated according to the number of people using various websites, the money isn't there anymore, and someone is shutting S*** down.

To paraphrase Roberta Flack, I think they are Killing us Softly and don't really care. It's morning in America and we've all got our wakeup call. Dough Ray Me......
