I can't begin to tell you how much I would love, love, love for it to return. Or some version of it with this new layout. The combination of yellow, pink, black, and blue was both pretty and unique.

Just thinking about it now is making me feel nostalgic lol

I know, I saw. But the light/dark toggle is one of the features that comes default with the 2.3.x update. I know because I have my own community hosted on xenForo and there is a default toggle for light/dark.

I also ran a GTMetrix test and got an F for the page load times.

The last I heard on the issue was Evolve alerting Xenforo Cloud service of the problem and a lot of traffic from the same IP Address was hitting the site ( VPN, bots, not sure). I think the site still uses Cloud flare (probably not helpful).

They use cloud hosting through Xenforo? Could possibly be part of the issue. Not an IT person by any means. I have noticed it makes it hard to participate in threads with the lag and page loading issues.

I've been thinking about this, but the best I could come up with was some server issue or a shared bandwidth issue; neither of which made any sense to me.

Hah!!!! So, it's some banned psychopath who has it out for us and wants to destroy what little is left of our pathetic lives by using VPN to anonymously eat up the bandwidth that is our lifeblood. FEAR NOT!!! I'm on it.

It's still happening to me. I even got that gateway error a few times. Thought it was just my usual Chrome bs, but it's been pure torture trying to post today. It's been crossing my mind more and more to just bail on this place, between my friends being gone (Iceman, where art thou?) and pages taking forever to load, what's the point?

Yeah, I can relate to that.
Even though I only registered in 2013, I've been coming here pretty much every day since 2007. But it's starting to feel more like a reflex than anything else.
Between my decade-long disinterest in the vast majority of CBM, the desertion of the threads I used to read and participate in here and now these technical problems.... Well.

18 years of frequentation is quite a run though... let's make it 20.
