I'm thinking that during this stretch of scenes, she's playing keep away with his sai's, in order to prevent him from running to the foot headquarters "guns blazing", without an actual plan to save Mike, Don, and Leo.

Finally, got around to reading the script:

Pros:

1. I think they nailed the Turtles and Splinter's personalities quite well.

2. Liked that Dimension X, Krang, and Bebop & Rocksteady were in it.

3. Good amount of action.

Cons:

1. Colonel Schrader & "The Foot Clan."

2. Casey and April feel like substitute Sam Witwicki & Mikaela Banes.

3. I wanted to see the origin story of the Turtles once more instead of how they came to be through exposition. I know people have seen this a thousand times, but quick flashbacks wouldn't have killed it. Hate telling without showing.

4. A little less of Casey and April's family lives would've helped this script too.

5. Sure, is a lot of adult language sprinkled throughout the writing.

6. Some of the jokes are hit-and-miss.

I'd give it a C- at best though there was a lot I didn't love over what I did love.

Unlike say some of the BO failures this summer(specifically the one with the robots), this one shot kinda says alot about this films appeal, or at least one aspect of it.
A solid trailer and a lot of personality and they'll be off.
Megan Fox was a pretty smart choice(though not my first).

I doubt it. Just wouldn't make sense to waste money and try to fix it with CGI, when you could have made the shell smaller from the start. The shells are going to be that gigantic.

In most incarnations the turtles are shorter than or close to April's height, that's why. I don't know if it's just for reference or if they're going to be fully adult human sized.

Agreed fully.

Exactly how I felt.

They had some great stuff in that draft, but it was vastly outweighed by things that were just all around bad or unnecessary.

It seems, though, that they have fixed alot of the problems it had.

Casey is not in this.

It appears that his role as the lead male human is being filled by Vernon.

However, I doubt Vern will be a love interest, or even in the movie much.

Why is he so big.

1. Because the Turtles in this movie will be human sized.

2. The actor playing Raph is 6'2", compared to Megan's 5'4".

For any one wondering, the respective heights of the Turtles in this film are:

Donatello: 6'4"

Raphael: 6'2

Leonardo: 6'1

Michaelangelo: 5'10"

So yeah, we're in for some tall Turtles, compared to the 5'0" - 5'6" foot turtles from the 1990s films.
