And before anyone names Bautista, they are not comparable. Namor is a *****e but he can have layers and he often operates in grey areas between hero and antagonist. Drax is just a brute, not very demanding as a role.

Eh. Slugzilla is a grown man and I think he knows what he is getting into when he is posting these scoops. Though I just hope he won't get in legal trouble because companies can easily track their employees if they want to investigate and that would just suck for Slugzilla, if someone from the company he is working for, tracks down his online stuff.

Mr. Zilla earned an awful lot of credibility in my eyes with his early warning on New Mutants, so I'm going to go ahead and buy this casting rumor. Subby has been on the sidelines too long, and it makes sense to tie him to a race of god like aliens. Hopefully we'll see Mr. McKenzie throw down with T'Challa in BP 2.

I care more about the getting a more faithful film adaptation than the cast. Thats why I don't care about the cast of The New Mutants and Dark Phoenix.

I think we all care about the adaptation, but the cast and the crew have nothing to do with whatever is happening with his movie. And they are people and there's hard work involved in the movie. Dreams too. It's not really hard to sympathize with that.

Lip makes a very good point here. A ton of people put their best efforts into the production. The cast, crew, etc all did their best with what they had to work with. However, there are two parties I have no sympathy for, certain Fox execs and the person who single handedly ruined this movie..... You all know who I'm talking about.

No reshoots that I've heard of as of yet, also no new info on its potential non theatrical release.

I don't know who the cast and crew (well except for the producers) to care about fox's New Mutants anyway... it doesn't look and feel the New Mutants from the comics.

Also, the cast and crew will all move on anyway probably with better projects, its not like this is some big movie that would make or break their career well I guess Xcept for Boone since he shaped this disaster of a film. New Mutants the ip, though won't get many chances at getting a film adaptation. So no I don't feel sorry for the cast/crew.

I suspect Disney+ will offer a free month's trial so you could sign up and cancel. Unless you don't have a credit card, in which case I'm not sure.

If Disney somehow agrees to this, that would explain the lack of reshoots. They would just keep the original cut Boone filmed and call it a day. Fox wont spend more money on it and at least the fans will watch the movie somehow, and in this case, not paying for it in the theatre. Thats a plus

Imo, just shelve it. Or rename the film to something else as I would like a proper film adaptation of the New Mutants sometime in the 2030s. Damn lol thats a long time.

I suspect this news is going to make some of you happy, & some sad. I am sad to report that the decision has been made to completely shelve New Mutants. The decision came straight from the top. Unless a certain someone has a sudden change of heart, the movie will not see any form of official release.

Perhaps it's for the best, as the property will be able to start fresh when the time comes, not being weighed down by Boone's disaster.
