Early, early, early.

-Looks like there's an Unverse Cap series on the way. Bad news is that there's an Unverse Cap series on the way. Good news is that Butch Guice is doing it. Sad news is that I still won't buy it.

-Loners is not going to be an ongoing....yet.

-Nova gets Phalanxed!

Crap, I was just about to do this.

Don't forget, an Unverse Cap written by Christos Gage. Man, they waste incredible talent on these Unverse titles.

Dammit Marvel, give Christos Gage an ongoing.

Well give him a better one dammit!

Word.

Dammit Marvel, give Christos Gage an ongoing.

They are, in the unverse.

Well, technically it hasn't been specified as a mini or ongoing yet. My guess is mini. As much as I love Guice, I don't think he's a big enough draw, especially for an Unverse book for Marvel to warrant an ongoing. As for Gage, he's shooting up the star ladder pretty fast. Marvel may or may not go out on a limb and give an ongoing to him.

Gage is an overall talent. From the cosmic scene all the way down to espionage/spy comics. The man can write. If Bru needed to take a couple of issues off on Cap, Gage is the man to fill in.

I like this Ultimate Spider-Man pic:

Whats up with the venom shots at the end?

Another week of simple answers.

- He also notes that THE LONGERS, much like AGENTS OF ATLAS, is a cult book that critics like, but doesn't have the numbers for an ongoing. I really do hate the "silent majority" of comic fans who don't post online yet determine that so many innovative books hit the skids while the same cookie cutter crapola (oh, yet another X-book!) sells out every time. It is enough to make one bitter seeing quirky books like AGENTS and LONERS go down.

- ANNIHILATION: CONQUEST still looks cool.

- That poster-shot reveals Bishop's X-Men in Ultimate X-Men. Now if only they can get good art INSIDE the pages, and not just on covers and posters. And, I dunno, get BKV back to co-write.

- I do agree Gage needs to get some more work. What little I have read of him, he has been solid, even when given some shakey premises ("Hey, figure out some baloney reason for Hulk to fight the X-Men for 3 issues so we can make more money off this!"). His CW one-shot was agrueably one of the best stories in the whole event, narrowing down the sides better than ANY of the main writers did.

- The USM art looks nice, shame it won't lure me back to that farce. Nice to know Bendis has a new artist for him to continue on his "Spider-Man is a helpless girly feeb wuss who always gets defeated, unmasked, humiliated, and can't beat his own antagonists in arcs" stories.

any reason for the omission of the "i"?

Oh yeah... well Kevin Smith DIES in the new Die Hard...
not really, I'm just screwin' with you.

And even bigger surprize would be Kevin Smith finishing Daredevil: The Target in the new De Hard.
