Things changed for the best, and Dan Slott is arguably the best Spider-Man comic book writer of all time

The fact that people still have respect for him after the giant middle finger he gave us in Power Play (I'm specifically referring to the end of issue 15) actually makes me ashamed to be a Spider-man fan.

Slott made mistakes in the past, yes. But, when you compare his mistakes to the ones in USM you'll see it's not a big of a deal.
I literally just stopped reading right here![]()
And yeah, realistically...can it get worse than USM?
Sorry everyone, Josh Keaton is voicing Ant-Man in a Ant-Man and the Wasp animated show.

I'd like to see a newcomer, someone that could portray a belieavable teenager, and I don't think either Keaton or Bell have it on them. I'm not saying an actual teenager, but someone that can sound like one and be cool. Having a 37 years old Keaton playing a teenager Spider-Man again would be weird, very happy for his Ant-Man gig tho.
Dan Slott is arguably the best Spider-Man comic book writer of all time, and probably the most knowledgeable when it comes to his continuity too.
Also, he is pretty knowledgeable on continuity, which is why I feel his best work is either other world or one shot material. I'm With Stupid, Renew Your Vows, etc.Good for Keaton. Good for me, too, since I didn't want him back as Spidey for the new series. I'm all about new voices for Spidey.
he is pretty knowledgeable on continuity
The thing is, he can call back to some cool Ditko/Romita Sr. era stuff and it's fun, but he has trouble with his own continuity. Just because he could win the 1975 edition of Spider-Trivia doesn't make him a continuity god. Just something that peeves me about his reputation.

Well yeah, you summed it best. What is typically deemed as his greatest strength is also his greatest flaw at points.
He uses the "we choose to carry whatever baggage we want with us" or something along those lines as a bypass and it gets frustrating 'cause he'll contradict himself like a week later.![]()
This is going to be great. https://***********/rawrgyle/status/764217635198218240

It's not--its from August. Grace draws Spidey a lot. She's incredible.

Slott does contradict himself quite often and some of the things he's said with regard to Spider-Man just make him seem like the wrong kind of fan. Knowledgeable about what happened on page 20 of issue #57, sure, but if you possibly have a differing opinion from his, you're just plain wrong.
One of the worst statements that he's ever made was when he said that Peter's love for MJ is anti-Marvel. It's an absurd opinion to begin with but then you factor in the characters that he has created or supports and the contradiction is immense.

the best thing Slott wrote was the Spidey-Human Torch mini years ago
