Rhino is a cross species character, I don't like it.
Good morning, dear SHH users! Long-time lurker here. My name is Yan Eden and I am a big fan of Peter Parker (my first familiarization was through John Semper's excellent 90's series).
Since we are celebrating Spider-Man's 55th anniversary (it happened 6 days ago on the 10th of August, 1962 with the release of Amazing Fantasy #15 by Steve Ditko and Stan Lee), I decided to create my very first YouTube video (and that was quite scary actually, to go out there and try to make it all work... it was a pure improv, this whole session), where I share my thoughts on not only Marvel's Spider-Man (the more I see from it the more I realize that my intuition was correct all the time), but also on a somewhat confusing state of Spidey in general (various mediums, different portrayals, different comic book writers and how he is being misrepresented by quite a lot of individuals in charge).

I put a lot of effort into this one, because I genuinely love Spidey and his mythology, so please, do not take it as me disowning the character or something like that. I love Peter Parker and I would NEVER do anything that would cause any harm to him (I only feel the need to oppose those who are doing poor Pete Parker a disservice; had some difficulties with my sound file during my vid's post-conversion, but I made sure to include special subtitles/CCs):
* Spider-Man's 55th Anniversary (1962-2017): extensive discussion of comics (from Ditko to Slott), films (from Raimi to Watts), animated series (from Semper to Disney), action figures, video games, funky music included, special appearances and so much more in this packed mini-documentary about the essence of Peter Parker! #CreativeSpiderManAt55

Thank you very much, SpideyJJ! Nice to be a part of a great communityNicely done, was pretty interesting
And welcome to the Hype
Especially when you go back and listen closely to one of his last conversations with JMS (I think the original CBR article with their full, shall we say, 'creative' discussion, is still there).Listening to Joe Quesadilla talk about the importance of telling a great Peter Parker story is down right hilarious.
Eh I think I have to see more of it. They may be taking inspiration from the Spider-Gwen version. If the only thing different is that he's mutated and doesn't have a suit, I think it might be fine. As long as its not like USM cartoon Rhino.Rhino is a cross species character, I don't like it.
Well that was 15 years ago...the guy got older. I'll bash Joe Q on a lot of things but this seems like an odd one to point out.I honestly don't know what happened to the guy (that's what clearly occurs when one makes a pact with Mephisto himself), but he looks even worse than he did back during that 2002 recording of Spider-Man: The Mythology of the 21st century DVD extras for Sam Raimi's 1st film.
From the vibe I'm getting of this so far, every villain will either be related to one school for gifted minds or the other one, the possibility of this take on Rhino sharing similarity with USM animated Rhino is there.Eh I think I have to see more of it. We dont have a villain of the week kind of format. The stories interweave and villains come in and out and it moves quickly. But, at the same time, theres always a very grounded Peter Parker personal story in every episode. Thats the story of the week. What does Peter learn, or how does he grow? So all the stuff around him can move as fast as we want it to as long as that Peter story is grounded.
No villains are off limits, but we do want to parse them out in a smart way and hold some back for later seasons, because we want there to be fresh stories to tell. Its always a Peter story, and the villains service that story. A lot of villains come back frequently. Its rare that we have a story with one villain because life is more complicated than that. And whats really going on with the villains is not so straightforward.
I meant the schools for geniuses, I think one video mentions Harry going to a different school than the one Peter goes to.If it's a kid again who was often bullied, I can see the resemblance.
There's a substantial number of mutates (Rhino, Jackal, Man-Wolf) along with tech-based dudes (Vulture, Scorpion, Smythe) if those are the different gifted schools you're talking about.

This interview with Kevin Shinick confirms Otto will be a 17-year-old prodigy and a teacher.
Boy, they sure are emphasizing on science a lot, aren't they?
This won't be a big step up from USM cartoon, nope, nu-uh.
From what I've seen, USM is better. At least that has better animation, This lacks in writing and visuals.
[YT]N2NWCcL-CTQ[/YT]I recall the 1st couple of ep to USM being so obnoxious that it started the backlash against it.
