Comics New X-Men: Academy X

Wait, that was who drew that?? Oy.

And I feel exactly the same way about the book now and then.

Yeah, he also drew the New Warriors Mini that came out not long ago about the Reality show thing. I actually kinda liked him there once I gave it a chance (long after it was released). Though I do still laugh at one panel where I think he made a mistake and gave Nova 3 arms :)

And yeah, I miss Tag, Jay Guthrie and Sophia, and a powered David, but overall those books were kinda boring. I liked them then, but I love them now. They were great beginnings for these charcters, and I think the newer writers have taken the characters in a direction that the book needed. The new writers have actually got me liking Surge, which I never cared for at the beginning, and the same goes for X-23. I liked her mini and the Captain Universe oneshot, but nothing else she was in, until this (though the C.U. oneshot may have been after, I don't remember). I'm also stoked because David is still around and prominant. I've always liked him, and I like the role they've made for him.

Has anyone else thought that Spec would make a good X-mod??

Nobody really patrols this area. I haven't seen Elijya post around here in a long time.

what the... Whats up with the last panel? Germany doesnt look like that. Maybe anno 1890, but not today :S I cant stop laughing :D Its like Borat all over again.

You know, I am really looking forward to this next arc. I come at it at a different angle than most of you, I started reading during their run - and I love it!

You should think about picking up New X-Men 16-19, which was the House of M tie-in. Yes, it's written by DeFilippis and Weir, but it's a VERY interesting alternate story, and honestly, I think it was the best thing to come out of House of M. Anyways, I'm telling you this because while it's not necessarily essential, I have the feeling you'll appreciate this forthcoming Magik storyline more if you read it.

^Very cool, I will see if they have those issues tomorrow. You are always very helpful, thanks!

Reading the new issue now....love the art so far....

Just read the last issue....felt a little rushed at the end, but a good story nonetheless. I think that (just like UXM) that stories start of just to slow and they have to rush to tell the tale. I love the art and look forward to the next arc. I really liked the way the Astonishing team blended into this arc.

Yeah, the House of M issues were the best thing to come out of the House of M. The story was great and I liked that we could see some long dead characters again (Magik, Synch, Doug Ramsey). Definately worth the read.

I'm still not sure which version of Magik the next arc is about. It's not the Magik from the HoM arc, not dead L-Virus Magik, but another one?

Tell that to whoever makes people into mods.

I don't know anymore, what with the creator's constant backtracking in the interviews. And I hope people realized that was Amanda Sefton, the second Magik, that dropped in at the end of the last issue.

As with X-Men: First Class, I'm thinking about picking this comic up (starting with the Magik arc). I'm a big fan of Teen Titans & Runaways, does this title compare?

Definately. This title is phenominal and one of the books that I look forward to the most each month. Definately give it a shot.

So Sofia is around....pretty cool. Cover looks great also. Should be pretty fun, I wonder what Colossus' involvement will be.

Color me excited. I love the Match/Rockslide action on that cover. Very F4-ish :D:up:
