Comics New X-Men: Academy X

WOW, Elixir's powers are seriously amped. I feel like by the end of this arc something is going to happen to him to de-amp him.

Wait...wait...did X-23 just get fried to a stack of Bones!?!?!?!?!?!!? It cannot be true!! She's gone!! Finally!!!

dont even joke about that
Well, they did over power him. That's one of the ways of dealing with him now. Or making it so that it kills him a little every time he brings someone back to life.

kinda like the dude from Carnivale

I know and he's my favorite so I dont want to see him go. Ive actually thought for a while that they've been building him up to be a villian. Thats why he's part of the team yet at the same time, not really apart of it. Killing Stryker and showing that he can use his powers offensively sealed it for me. I see Josh going bad during this current run

X-23 is a clone of Wolverine. She'll probably get back up from that somehow if she's to be mimicing Logan. Then again this is New X-Men we are talking about. So chances are she's a goner. :o

i just realized something......Elixir just made David a NEW heart.....wonder if he can put X-23 back together?

OutcryX I said that would happen a few pages back after David's heart was ripped outr. I hope anyone who disagreed are now eating their words lol.

yeah. i remember you saying it. lets see if he can uh..revive X-23 now

Well that's what we get when they label him Omega. We can't just expect him not doing something well, omega-like if he is one. Sooner or later, this omega thing will bite them back in the ass, or has it happened already?

On the other note, the art is really awesome. I normally don't like Bachalo-type stuff, but the style just fits the young X-Men thing. Makes you really feel that this is a book full of kids.

^Nope. "Anole, Digivolve to... Apanole!"

After relooking at issue 38, I could see Josh growing a god complex to the point of wanting to help the world so bad, then have some extreme means of doing it, only to have his team stop him. It's almost like David's future dream, whee he killed Josh to cure the world. Josh as a Villian would rock.

In that sketch panel, Anole kinda reminds me of Spyke from X-Men Evo - you know, the complete blantant Marrow rip-off? How sweet would Marrow have been in that show instead of Spyke who was SO incredibly LAME. Ugh. Sorry. Anyways, that's what the armor-esque thing going on reminds me of.

For the most part I liked Spyke. And Yes, the only reasons were because he was A) Black, and B) Connected to Storm. Although, he started to piss me off when he mutation went out of control.

I liked Spyke too, for mostly the same reasons.

Comicboy, the statement about Anole evolving and pokemon/digimon was great, made me laugh.
