Meh. Michael Ryan all the way. He created most of the obscure characters and his art is too detailed for his own good.

This new artists really needs to work on making the kids look like "kids". He draws a mean Cyclops but his Hellion looks about 8 years too old.

I thought the injuries that the kids had were drawn really realisticly, they showed swelling and everything.

He made hellion look like Sgt. Rock. Was this the guy that did the most recent Suicide Squad?


Anyway I love this book right now. Mainly because of the art. Brooks and this new guy should be up on Major books. And guys like Bachalo should be not on them. .... or any books. But Brooks and the new guy are all stars.


And this current story. Talk about one hell of a way to deal with the Decamation. This is a story that should be featured in a major title and crossing over. this is a huge story here and I hope it gets slightly touched upon in other titles. i love to pick up a second (third?) tier book and get art and action like this.

And the beatuy of taking the students from other books is nice too. Who figured we would ever see Onyxx outside of Milligan's X-men book. It's a bit of a shame that the team came out the way it did. But I hope tht onyxx, quill and that funky Lizard boy we always see don't fall to the wayside.

I think Elixirs power doens't always seem to work. I get the sense he's not that skilled with his powers. I mean he's brought people back from near death before like Kitty and Colossus when they were empaled by Danger. But he could for Northstar, and DJ.

Northstar and DJ were already dead by the time he got to them, that's why.

Seriously DJ must have died like literally half a second before he tried to heal them. And that wound that Kitty and Colossus recieved during the Astonishing 'Danger' Arc would not have let them livelong enough for Elixir to have showed up and healed them in the medlab. 'A metal pillar went right through their guts!!!!!'

If they kept the pole in them until he started to heal them, then yeah, that could have actually kept them alive long enough for him to get to them as it would have still kept them from bleeding to death.

Not neccessarily. Just think of that episode of Grey's Anatomy with the two people who ended up with a big pole through their abdomens from a train wreck.

So who do we think Stryker's next target is? Wallflower (and he succedes and kills her, thus writing her out of the story), or Elixir (and fails since we know he's sticking around).

Would make sense if it as Elixir seeing as how he is the last Omega level healer around.

I don't understand that either. Jay seems to be SUPER psychologically injured as well as physically. The fact that he can't heal himself and won't let anyone help seems like he's just asking to die.

Keep in mind that he's been suicidal in the past,... things like that can come back in times of stress (so I hear).

If you're thinking about Josh fixing de-powered mutants, forget it. There's a huge difference between the Decimation and what happened to Rahne.

Rahne was hit with one of Forge's dandy little neutralizing devices, just like the one that hit Storm. Rahne's X-gene had been suppressed. When Josh healed her, he returned her x-gene to its natural/healthy state. Wanda's magical wammy got rid of everyone's X-genes.
