^Both of you guys make good points. Myself I enjoy the characters, but have only been reading since issue 22. Spec, you gotta pick this comic up though, it really is a good read.

New X-Men #34 will arrive in stores on Jan. 10 from Marvel Comics. The issue is written by Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle, with art and cover by Paco Medina.

Here's how Marvel describes the issue:

"'Mercury Rising,' part 2 of 4. The Facility turned X-23's childhood into a blood-stained nightmare and now they're gunning for the New X-Men. How far will the team go to save one of their teammates, and once they've crossed over into X-23's violent world, is there any coming back? The kids will never look at X-23 the same again as the fallout from X-23: Target X continues here. "

New X-Men #34 will be 32 pages and will cost $2.99.

Ok, so X and Merc are rumbling, then the bad guys escape with Merc. Flip scene back to mansion. Santos Anole, and the tattoo girl see the Young Avengers on TV and Santos thinks the New X-men should beat them up since the are like their same age or whatever. He asks the others if they think that he could take on Hulkling one on one and they show little support. Hellion comes around looking for Merc and X. He finds X in her room, she tells him she has to go alone to get Merc back (WHY DID SHE BOTHER COMING BACK TO THE MANSION IN THAT CASE???) any who, He says no way, grabs her and blasts out of the mansion at super sonic speed and the ONE are baffled and what to know what it was. X and Hellion go around looking and asking questions. She kills a few people and pissed Hellion off. Back at the bad guy hideout, Merc is being tortured. She says her friends will come save her and lady X-23 dupe chic says that's the same thing that the elephant guy from the new brotherhood said. Flash frame to remains of elephant guy.

Issue #34 was good.

I loved Rockslide' enthusiam for a 70s-era crossover with the Young Avengers (go fight them for no reason). In the "timeline" department, this must take place before Civil War #3/4, since Stature is still pictured with the Young Avengers.

The Hellion/X-23 team-up was fun; especially fun to see Julian, who's traditionally is the badass/excessive force member of the team, instead cast as the less violent one.

Mercury gets the traditional X-Men "miserable manifestation of powers" scene (somehow, I imagine Rockslide's reaction was more along the lines of "Cool.).

Yeah.. He was in the 198 wasnt he? did i miss something?... how did they manage to smuggle a massive elephant guy out of the X-Mens front lawn.. without all of the X-Men or Sentinels, or the other of the 198 noticing?
You thinkg someone would have noticed them loading him on the back of a lorry.


Not a too bad issue, apart from YaY more death , loved Rockslide wanting to do an old school crossover.

Also Mercury's boobs were as fun as in the preview LoL
hope we see more of her (i dont mean literally.. not that id mind it) so we can get to know her as a character more...



....before they inevitably kill her.

As much as I love the X-Men, after reading the first X-Men Civil War I kinda lost interest in reading that particular book. Thought it was boring.
