I hope Prodigy gets his powers back somehow. He was one of my favorites and I hope they kept him around for a reason. But IDK I just started getting back into comics and picked up a couple issues of New X-Men and did a little wikipedia research...so I hope I'm caught up.

I dont really think David needs his powers. Id love for him to be powered up but hes the one person that I think works fine without them as well

I, like H83, agree that David does not need his power. He's fine. And personally, it felt as if he thought he were better than everyone else when he had his powers. That usually made me not like him sometimes. Like in the New X-men special 1, I totally wanted josh to kick his ass.

What do you mean? And yes, Surge is still the official leader, but nowdays she doesnt do much...

New Hellion or old Hellion? I hate old Hellion with a paasion. If new Hellion were to take over, even though I rather anyone else but his cocky for no reason ass, I'd be ok with it.

its the same person. I just plain love Hellion and didnt like that he got demoted

New Hellion is more mature, grown up, than his old self. And him being demoted showed him that he wasn't always going to get his way. Characters need that. I'll tell you, I love what Kyle and Yost have done with these characters' personalities.

When they formed the New X-Men instead of squads Hellion wasn't picked leader because he didn't take out X-23 like Emma Frost wanted. Thus I was wondering if she had fixed it yet.

I preferred Hellion as a cocky arrogant bastard. Even when acting like a jerk, he still cared and wasnt outright malicious. I thought he was pretty complex and loved what N&C did with him. BUT like I said, I plain love the character and enjoy him whichever way

Ok, little progress report...I just finished reading the New Mutants run and I liked it...good premise to have the former New Mutants usher in the next generation. Hated the art though. I'm getting ready to start picking up the New X-Men back issues...gotta say that I'm disappointed some of these characters don't seem to make it to the current lineup, Wind Dancer in particular...there's not enough hispanic characters in the X-World...I heard she's going to be in New Warriors, but I would rather still see her as a mutant in the X-World.

Question: Are the Stepford triplets appearing in New X-Men regularly? They don't seem to be on the active roster from what I see in pictures of the current team.

the answer to the question would actually be no. They appear but they do not appear regularly at all. Tehy are merely background characters just like they are in New Mutants v2. Actually the only time they really had any part with more substance was the dance, and even then they were written out of character and just their to support Hellion

As far as Wind Dancer, she already showed up in New Warriors. Go check it out bc the first issue was completely built around her

Another thing about this cover. Is that Gentle next to Victor, or is it Rockslide? If it does happen to be Rockslide, does he get another power upgrade? Anyway, i think it may be Gentle.

since the new writers took over back in New X-men #20, they have appeared in 20, 23, 27, 28, 31, 37. Thats really not much more than they were doing before
