Oh please. What was in the level? It was probably the VERY beginning of the game.Demo was bleh.

Once you get deeper into the game, the whole control scheme comes into the clear and it's quickly the best action game you've ever played. At first it may feel like you're just pushing buttons, but eventually there's "branching combos" of sorts that really changes the moves depending on what buttons you press, the most obvious example being the Izuna Slash and the Izuna Drop (those names may be wrong, it's been three years (side note: LOL at PS3's best game yet being three years old ROMLAFOMALAMAOAMThe very beginning level through the forest area. I ended up facing a faux native American guy and beating him.
It felt really restrictive, move wise.
What I pressed didn't really mesh with what happened on screens and everything all the moves felt really canned. I understand that it's really based around timing, and it's probably really good or that, but there's just this disconnect between the moves and the button inputs that makes it feel really artificial. Take Devil may Cry or God of War as examples, there the buttons and their actions are so much more intuitive and responsive. Ninja Gaiden feels like dial a combo from Mortal Combat or something.
And lol at your witty flow joke.
[BLACKOUT]Die screaming[/BLACKOUT]
(couldn't resist for old-times sake))) as they obviously begin the same, but depending on what you do the technique goes a whole different route. All animated perfectly of course. That's one example of many, you'll really get into the combat system after about an hour of play, and once you have it mastered, everything else will feel like garbage.
ANYWAY I'M RESURRECTING THIS OLD THREAD BECAUSE I FEAL THIS GAME DESERVES SOME LOVE AND ATTENTION!!!
IT WASN'T QUITE WHAT I WAS EXPECTING, FOR SOME REASON I GOT THE IDEA IN MY HEAD THAT IT WAS SOMEWHAT SIMILAR TO GOD OF WAR BUT IT'S CLOSER TO DEVIL MAY CRY, SO IT'S COOL!!! THE GRAPHICS LOOK AWESOME, RACHEL IS, UM, BOYANT,
AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW IT ENDS,9.5/10!!!The game is getting DLC

August 3, 2007 - If you consider yourself a Ninja Master, you'll want to check out what Tecmo has in store for Ninja Gaiden Sigma. The company announced today final plans for the game's Survival Mode, which will be added via download starting later this month.
Survival Mode features themed missions where you face off against a series of enemies, testing yourself to see how long you can endure the beating. As you play through each mission, you're given a score which is used in a worldwide ranking.
Three missions will be available for download separately. On 8/30, you'll be able to download the Weapon Master mission, which limits you to five weapon. Set to follow in late September is the Speed Master mission, where time is limited and the enemies and stages are set up to provide for a quick fight. Finally, late October will see the Rachel Master mission, featuring five survival tests as newcomer Rachel.
In Japan, each mission will cost 315 yen, or approximately three dollars. There's no word yet on US pricing or availability, but we expect comment from Tecmo America soon.
I ACTUALLY BEAT THE GAME LAST WEEK, NEEDLESS TO SAY IT WAS CHALLENGING!!! SOME OF THE ARENA MISSIONS ARE FREAKING IMPOSSIBLE, BUT I WILL PREVAIL, EVENTUALLY!!!
