'NG: Sigma' : 'PS3' Gets A 'Ninja Gaiden' Refurb From 'Team Ninja'

Gamespot:

Enter the latest Weekly Famitsu, which gives a few tantalizing details about the recently unveiled game. Foremost, Sigma will feature a "complete version of Ninja Gaiden, which was originally produced as an Xbox title," with entirely overhauled graphics. It did not specifically mention the Ninja Gaiden redux, Ninja Gaiden Black, which included the bonus Hurricane Packs plus extra missions.

As far as gameplay, there will also be some adjustments to the combat system. For example, über-ninja Ryu Hayabusa will now be able to slice up enemies twice as fast, as he can now double-wield blades. There are also some new weapons in the works. Famitsu's screenshots show Ryu holding a large, pike-like weapon called the Musoushingetsukon.

But it's not just the good guys getting beefed up. New enemies, such as a motorcycle-mounted foe, are being thrown into the mix and will likely meet their untimely deaths at the tip of Ryu's blades.

after reading that article, its starting to draw me in, cause now im getting curious to see what the new extras are like. what strikes me though, is that team ninja stated that NG signma is 100% the full completion of the game.

so what does that make NG black then??? a half completion of the game?

i really don't think it was stuff they had to say, im starting to think it was info that NGBLACK was not the whole completion of the game, & that NG SIGMA is. i think team ninja decided to just finish off the whole completion of the game ,then by putting out just half off it, & leave it as that.

i just hope that when ninja gaiden 2 comes out, that they relase the whole darn completion of the game. & not leave anything out, so they won't have to keep adding in things that they forgot or couldn't add becuase of the running time of the game.

cause i would hate to buy ninjagaidne 2 then fond out its not 100% complete, then i have to buy the nex game & so on & so on, just so i can be able to finish the whole game.:cmad:

What don't you get? He hates purchasing Hurricane packs, and NGB, and such.

But, he has to understand, no matter how much they pile into the game, they can always add. I doubt they purposely left some stuff out of NG, so that they could make expansions.

Exactly. Itagaki delayed the first one to get it "just right" despite MS offering him a lot of money to get it out for Christmas. He didn't release it until he was happy with it, and later made Hurricane Packs because he wanted to.

He didn't release half a game. The game was complete originally. They just keep adding to it because it's so freaking awesome.

Um, what happened to my post, and the one after that, and the one after that?

I think Ryu whatshisname is to blame for that.

It's looking better and I wasn't expecting it to, I guess they're relatively serious about about making improvements for this version.

There seems to be aliasing problems that there weren't in the previous shots. Don't know whether that's down to bad images, or the game itself.

The game isn't even half way done yet apparently.

- Tecmo's Ninja Gaiden Sigma director Yosuke Hayashi revealed new details for the game:

The game is currently 35% completed, user can run around all levels
The developers studied beyond the PS3 hardware, now they understand how everything functioned and how to use each desired characteristic
In order to use the hardware fully, one has to program the 7 SPUs (Synergistic Processing Units) in the cell chip.
It's important to find out how to use SPUs for graphics completely, they are seeing daily graphic improvements
The build from today looks noticeably better than the TGS version
Currently 50% of their new ideas are put into the game, and the other 50% are things that were not realized in the predecessors
For example there is a scene where helicopters circle in the sky and throwing bombs toward the city, it was not realized in the Xbox version due to hardware restriction
It is possible to use projectile weapons like bow and arrows in mid-air
All textures used in the PS3 version are completely new
Some existing puzzles are revised to be more intuitive and natural
You play about 20% of time with Rachel
The game is a completely new generation and no extra games like the NES Ninja Gaiden Trilogy were added
The game will support 720p, this is the most optimal resolution, because there are too much borders in 1080p.

◄ This game comes out in two weeks. The Master Ninja demands more hype. He has ordered that I post these gorgeous new screens. I am happy to obey.
