Nintendo Amiibo figures.

Not a fan either. Though, I will admit, I'm glad that if Ness has to be a retailer exclusive, it's Gamestop. Shulk was the most painless to get out of the last wave from what I understand (I got a pre-order no problem), and it's the only place I have locally outside Wal-Mart. The fact that they actually put up an explicit time makes me pretty optimistic I'll be able to pre-order Ness.

I love Earthbound but I'm probably least interested in Ness. I ant both GN and JP tho..

Yeah.. He was down in 3 mins.

Screw it. I quit. If.. IF I absolutely want these two I'll pay 20 bucks and import them from Japan. Screw this retail exclusive bull*****.

Alright, well, just got back from Gamestop (was out in town anyway, so it was good timing). The only person there for amiibo was me and another guy. The cashier was having a hard time getting the order to go through, so he called the hotline so we could order there, which I'd had to do before. Turns out...the entire GS system crashed nation-wide. Like, no ****, he had the hotline lady on speaker so we could hear her say this.

I almost left after about half an hour, but the other guy talked me into staying (which was strange, because I didn't even know him, but I'm glad he did), and about I don't know, twenty minutes or so later it finally let our orders through, and I got all the ones I wanted. From what I'm reading, though, there are places where the system never did allow transaction and people have been sent home or had their contact information taken down or just still waiting around.

Ness killed GS, the final challenge.

My Gamestop had a huge line. Was looking at a 3+ hour wait so I said **** it and left.

GS also got a new system..They beta tested it for two weeks and it wasn't ready so they decided to roll it out Nation wide. Words from my friends that work in management there, lol.

So the Amibo craze super crushed it.

A likely story. They just don't want to admit they lost to the thunder, the PK Thunder.

managed to find a Zelda amiibo yesterday finally as retailers here are starting to get shipments of her

preordered zero suit, dr mario and dark pit

You can pre-order Wave 5 & 6 already? Can you preorder Ganondorf? Man, I know in the long term I'll be able to find Ganondorf, but I wish I could go ahead and pre-order him.

yea the preorders here went up yesterday
i really need to get back down there after easter and preorder ganondorf

Apparently, it was posted on reddit that a NA Meta Knight restock was coming to Best Buy "soon", and a Corporate employee who has confirmed rumors in the past is saying it's true. No timeframe given outside Summer.

Well, in somewhat good news, I suppose, Newegg has some placeholders in place for Wave 5/6 preorders in NA (Apparently, they are classifying Dark Pit and Palutena as their own wave). So, that means we may not have to wait so damn long for preorders to actually get here unlike between Wave 3 and 4 were the wait was just ridiculous. Of course, if they sell out in a few minutes, I guess it doesn't matter a whole to begin with.

In random/bad news, GAME in uk put their preorder placeholders up for Wave 5/6, and people are saying they are going to start selling some time tonight or tomorrow (not super sure where the last bit of information is coming from, so I don't know about that, but I know those placeholders are up). But among them are Mewtwo and Lucas. So...it would seem, unless there is some type of mistake, they are sneaking in Mewtwo and Lucas into Wave 5 or 6 without telling anyone? No one is sure, yet.

Calling ******** on what that Service Agent was saying. If it was the retailers at fault, then why is it only Nintendo products are rare/non-existant? Disney and Infinity figures are overwhelmingly available, yet finding most amiibo becomes like hunting a unicorn.

It's not retailers.. My good friend is the electronics manager at Target and he's been trying to order more Amiibo in and can't.. Same for a friend of mine who's the manager at GameStop.. Nintendo even put a limit on how many pegs Target can have.

Shift the blame all they want.. this is on them.

You do have to wonder how successful Nintendo would be if they had Sony's management.

Can't say I buy that. They can maybe suggest that, but Nintendo has no direct power how any store steps up their floor. No company has that kind of control over a shop unless it's a store they own (such as Nintendo World in NYC).

I'm just saying that's what I was told... That Ninte do put a limit on their display. Not sure why he would just up and lie.

I don't either, but unless Nintendo has some controlling interest in Target or something, I don't see how it's true. Things like limits on purchases and store layouts are, as far as to my knowledge, the store's final decision. I'm sure that Nintendo and Nintendo reps have suggestions for how they should handle that kind of thing, but there's no way they could really force any store to do that, especially since there's no way to realistically enforce that.

I mean, I guess there could be a contract in place where Nintendo could take legal action if certain things were displayed the way they wanted or something, but...I don't know, that seems really unlikely to me. It's possible, though, I guess.

When you tap an amiibo you’ll get a random three minute highlight, but the game you get to try is random. That means a Shulk amiibo could bring players to a scene from Wario Woods and a Mario amiibo might have a Super Metroid preview.

amiibo Tap launched today in Japan with 30 games from the Nintendo and Super Nintendo libraries. Here’s a look at the titles announced for amiibo Tap:

Yarn Yoshi Amiibo Being Sold With Yoshi’s Woolly World On UK Nintendo Store
. April 23, 2015 . 10:34am

The most adorable amiibo is available as a pre-order package with Yoshi’s Woolly World.

You can now pre-order a Yarn Yoshi amiibo with your copy of Yoshi’s Woolly World for Wii U on Nintendo’s UK store.

There are six different Yoshi’s Woolly World pre-order packages being offered. However, at the time of writing one of these has already sold out—that’s the Yoshi’s Woolly World amiibo pack (pictured above), which comes with a pink, green, and blue Yarn Yoshi amiibo and a copy of the game for £76.99.

Three of the other five packages include either the pink, or green, or blue Yarn Yoshi amiibo – only one of them, not all three – and the game for £53.99. There’s also a slightly cheaper offering of the green Yarn Yoshi amiibo and the game at £49.99, the only difference being it’s not sold as a pack.
The most expensive package at £219.99 is the Wii U Yoshi’s Woolly World + Super Smash Bros Pack. That includes a Super Smash Bros Wii U bundle, Yoshi’s Woolly World on Wii U, and a green Yarn Yoshi amiibo.

All of these pre-order packages are available to purchase now but won’t arrive until June 26th.

Talked to my buddy that's the manager at my local Gamestop. He said he's heard rumblings that Gamestop is gonna bother with any more pre-orders on amiibo after the way things have been going down. He said the fault is 100% on Nintendo for the whole mess.
