No Hulk sequel, a RE-START instead.

Actually it's tri-DENT.
I'll start w/Spidey's first punch, which he threw having no idea how strong the Goblin was, & not having yet faced an opponent w/superhuman strength.
As fot holding up the tram-Spidey held it, too. While using his other hand to hold onto a webline that had to support the entire weight.
And again, when Spidey stopped holding back in the final fight, the Goblin couldn't take him, & had to resort to trickery to try & gain the upper hand.
the weight of the tram was spread between two of spidey's arms technically while goblin supported it solely and horizontally with one arm (which would be harder to perform making it a bigger feat IMO).

the goblin was taken by surprise by a pissed off superhuman individual, there is nothing to suggest parker wouldn't have done the same...

besides, there is no correlation between endurance and strength, it's only implied but really there isn't any. just because one can knock the other down easier than vice versa doesn't make one automatically stronger.

with all cases being fair, the goblin's jarring arm when first catching the glider and also him holding it with ease shows that he is indeed stronger than not only spidey but pretty much every other marvel character pictured on the big screen.

I know this isn't supposed to be the case but one can only judge characters on their feats shown.

spidey's holding punches is the reason for any thing and anything ever wrong in a battle scenario, I don't even think superman holds his punches or its used by his fan contigency as much as spidey is for his. I suppose superman's rogue gallery actually requires for him to go all out more often these days....

norman's trident escapade can be rationalised as being similiar to parker's punch grab. Norman wasn't expecting it.

both scenes had one person being caught off guard and flung unexpectedly, although goblin's fling of spidey was more vigorous....

i'd happily say both examples cancel each other up, and i won't bring it up again although saying this, i would say it shows they are at least equal in power, especially considering we never see a 'PISSED OFF' goblin so no fair comparison is expected....

LOL, I thought the Goblin was always pissed off!!!!

he's one of the calmest deep thinking villains out there, very methodical and in the know of his actions....

i've never picture the goblin as hulk-esque pissed, definitely not all out pissed...

At the end he was, he even said it!!!!! And i still think Spidey is stronger overall.

Er, i consider those two the same things. Either way, we need more feats of strength to be included in CB movies, its lacking at the moment.

you don't think someone can piss you off without being angry? crikey....

wait so THIS is a REMAKE?? and ZAK PENN is "writing this"??

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA this is pathetic... they're spending 140 million on this crap idea and absolutely garbage writer? wonderful

even better is the genius casting decisions of Dominic Purcell and Brendan Fraser PLUS the fact that the special effects will be done Thing/Hellboy style with long shots and hard shots composed of CG double and the live action will be an actual LEE Priest style body builder all covered in make up and prosthetics, LOLz.

Noble attempt, but how the hell are they going to market this? Yes, uh so america, this is our first commercial for a NEW hulk... sorry we absolutely wasted your money the last time and screwed the pooch on that... but this is an ALL BRAND NEW DIFFERENT HULK that you'll DEFN want to see... since we ****ed up domestically before in terms of Box office and the film itself, you can TOTALLY trust us to do it right again this time!! HULK 2008. Genius, simple genius... that NEEDS to be the lead disclaimer in the front teaser.

And with an addendum... NOW WITH ALL NEW CORRECTED special effects, No shrekkie this time!

A remake and no Eric Bana? Wow this is incredibliy bad news. If it was 20 years later, yeah maybe, but this soon?

So they're doing a remake of a movie remade 2 years ago by the same company?

No. Marvel is going to be doing this movie independently i.e. themselves...they will not be attached to a studio other than for distribution rights.

I know, its the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard, and i've heard A LOT of ridiculous things in my time.

there are more rediculous ideas going on....most of them feature in the last stand....

:o:o

the worst thing about i think i've ever seen happen to the hulk on any screen was the fall of his fantastic series in the second series after the introduction of she hulk as a regular character...

psssh...

although the first episode of that series i must say was brilliant and i also liked the mental tussles grey and green hulk used to have to see which one would get to transform...

if they ever incorporated multiple hulks into a film format, i would like those mental battle scenes recreated.

1-how was the weight spread between both arms when his other arm was holding a webline? If anything that's a bigger strain. Spidey was HANGING by one arm while holding the tram w/the other. GG was standing on top of the bridge.
2-when did the Goblin catch a glider?

"DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I SACRIFICED!?!?"
"NO ONE SAYS NO TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!"
I suppose throwing innocent children to their deaths is the act of a calm, rational mind.
Or how about, "Had you not been so selfish, your little girlfriend's death would've been quick and painless, but now that you've REALLY pissed me off..."

Personally i think this might be a good move, the Hulk movie was good. But if a good director gets control,a remake would be as good as a sequel.

I liked the Hulk, a lot - very strong story wise and pretty good effects wise. If they are going to dumb the franchise down they should wait until 2010 to do it and let enough time since Ang Lee's version to pass.

I wish they would just do a sequel, Fantistic 4 was far less intelligent then the Hulk, but its getting a sequel next year.a Number of people were pissed off than Ang Lee Forgot the essentials of the Hulk in the first movie. Why did they hire a drama movie director to direct a Hulk Movie? Ang Lee took the movie way way to far, and took it way to serously. This first movie was suppose to appeal to kids, and have a maturity level and story for teens and adult. The movie forgot about the kids, and you needed a degree in physcology to undertstand what the movie was trying to do or say about Bruce Banner and the Hulk. I don't get why they wasted numurous scenes where the action was building up, but was quelled with emotionless Dialogue.

The next Hulk movie needs to bee fun and exciting, but have a mature theme. The "Incredibles" movie is a good example of this, hell the "Incredibles" is a far superior and more enjoybale movie then Hulk.

Your ****ing kidding me arent you? The science in the Hulk is not that hard to understand, and believe me, i am poor at science. You say F4 was a far less intelligent movie than Hulk and then you say you want the Hulk sequel to be dumbed down. Well guess what, a dumbed down Hulk would be JUST LIKE F4.
